ToolMan
Houston TV audience stayed up late with the Astros:http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/sports/bb/3417536How can they tell how many people are watching? They don't have chips in the TV's monitoring what you watch.
MidtownCoog
Nielsen was in my hood last month looking for new memembers. My parents participated in Nielsen in the 80s. Back then they connect a wire from your TV to your phone. They even had a program that would track grocery purchases. But now I bet they can track you if you have a digital cable box. When they called me the secound time I told the I already did it but they said that was ok. I think they paid us 5 or 10$ for doing it. I always waited till the last day to feel in everything. KimberlySayWhat
Here's the Nielsen website that explains how it works:http://www.nielsenmedia.com/ Nielsen Madia sent me a "diary" back in the spring for me to record my TV habits and $5 as a reward. What a pain in the butt that was. According to E! online, this is one of the nationally lowest rated World Series ever. They make it a point to let that be known. He said that since it isn't New York or Boston, no one is watching, but they are missing out on some great baseball.http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/columns/sto...gene&id=2203949

RedScare
SF Gate said the same thing. Some of the best articles are written by those with no dog in the hunt. That was one of the better accounts of the game...and Series... that I've read.
KimberlySayWhat
I've also read several places where Houston has no superstars on its team. If Roger isn't a baseball superstar, who is? Those people are an insane, crazy mess.
