9075
It looks like the Laundromat at the corner of Enid and Coronado has closed, and some work is being done on the building. Anyone know what the plans are? It's a neat old commercial building.

SilverJK
i've said I wanted to buy that place for years, I even went as far as sending a letter to the owner seeing what they wanted for it. It has been run down for a while but they started working on it recently. I think it would be a perfect work/live space with room for 2 businesses downstairs and a nice apartment above.
gnu
Cool. I didn't know about it either. I looked it up in my '66 directory and it was still Sunshine Washateria with some apartments above. edit...added info: From HCAD, it looks like this couple owns it: http://www.houstonchronicle.com/business/real-estate/article/Brooke-Smith-neighborhood-undergoes-metamorphosis-4430871.php Built 1930. They have restored various properties in Brooke Smith. I jumped onto the Sanborn maps and in 1950 it shows the right side as a drugstore (1000 Enid) and the left side (1002 Enid) as an unspecified 'store' and the three side addresses of 804,806,808 Coronado (which used to be named Janssen at some point). It is going to be the Enid Street Lofts. Their company is called Contemporary Craftsman.
