Pick a card, any card

Rule #1, do NOT scroll down until I tell you to.

Pick any card in a deck.

Got it? Scroll down to see if I guess it right.

3 of spades. Yes? No?

Again, pick a card, any card.

Got it? Scroll down again.

8 of hearts. Yes? No?

Ok, so it's likely I guessed both of yours wrong. But the strangest thing happened to me tonight.

My wife and I were watching David Blaine on ABC tonight, unrecorded, without a DVR.

In one portion of the show Jaden Smith was asked to pick a card and before he did, I said 3 of spades out loud. A few seconds later, we found out Jaden chose the same card.

Later in the show I chose the 8 of hearts out loud before Katy Perry did. Same thing happened.

Now was that just random or what? First, the chances of that happening once is super low. The chances of it happening twice in two tries is even lower. The chance of it happening twice in two tries in the same order is crazy low.

Are the 3 of spades and the 8 of hearts simply the two most likely guesses?

My wife is my witness and was even threatening not to sleep in the same bed with me tonight.

I've met a few of you and I hope I didn't come off as a psycho or a liar.

This was just weird.

Thoughts?

Interesting.  I'd be much more impressed if it was Neil deGrasse Tyson or similar character who he was working his "magic" on.
