VicMan Posted June 25, 2005 Posted June 25, 2005 West U has its own forum, but I think Bellaire needs one too..Also, which one should Southside Place get lumped with? Or should that one remain separate too? Quote
Casual Observer Posted June 25, 2005 Posted June 25, 2005 I would just lump West U & Bellaire into a forum together. I doubt they'd each get enough traffic to warrant their own thread.I think the same for the Villages of I-10 also, just lump them all together. Quote

I think if you lumped it with Bellaire and maybe a few other areas it would get enough traffic. Quote
editor Posted June 25, 2005 Posted June 25, 2005 What name/title should we use to lump all these together?West U and the Villages? Quote
Casual Observer Posted June 25, 2005 Posted June 25, 2005 1. West University, Bellaire, & Southside Place 2. The Villages off I-10(in small print below list the 5 villages) Quote

editor Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 How about "Inside the Beltway, but Outside Houston" Quote
Casual Observer Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 I think we had this conversation about 6 months ago, about condensing the threads.. Let me go look at the existing threads, and then I'll get back to you. Quote
westguy Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 There's not much going on in those bedroom communties. There was a discussion a while back about saving a modern bank building (Bellaire tore it down, of course). Quote

Subdude Posted June 26, 2005 Posted June 26, 2005 I don't think there's enough interest for a Memorial Villages topic area. There probably isn't enough for Bellaire either, but since there is already a West U one it could just be renamed West U/Bellaire. Southside Place is too small to mess with. I would like to see a topic area for the assorted historical and "Remember When" threads. There have been several, but they are scattered around. A couple members have requested it. Quote
The Great Hizzy! Posted June 27, 2005 Posted June 27, 2005 METRO merely refers to these nine cities as "The Multi-Cities".Just a suggestion. Quote
HeightsGuy Posted June 27, 2005 Posted June 27, 2005 I would like to see a topic area for the assorted historical and "Remember When" threads. As in "remember when West U and Bellaire were filled with cute bungalos?"Sorry, couldn't resist:) Quote

A couple members have requested it. yeah, the three would go well in one section (even though southside place is teeny - still need a place to rant about the cops...heh) and i like the idea of the nostagic-based section. so you can raise it to three member requests Quote
RedScare Posted June 28, 2005 Posted June 28, 2005 I think you should be treated like METRO treats the north/east side. You get BRT for now, but when your thread traffic increases, you'll get a forum. Quote
