So.. after the house fire south of 15th on Yale yesterday, there was another fire (don't know if it was a house, the road was closed) north of 15th on Yale this morning..

And still hadn't heard any news on the cause of the large house fire on Heights..

so.. WTF?!

Busy time of the year for fire departments. Space heaters, chimneys, faulty furnaces, etc.

Are you referring to the fire with the two casualties? Last I heard they said it was not arson but still had not determined the actual cause or even the point of origin.

The fire departments are also very busy this time of year with false alarms. When the blowers on heaters kick on for the first few times, the previous year's worth of dust gets blown around, and sometimes sets off smoke detectors. Also, the smell of burning dust can make people think there's a fire.

At one place I worked in Houston, every January there would be false alarms because of dust.
