Subdude
This might belong under General Houston, but the post about the Challenger anniversary got me wondering. What do you think about the gutting of the Constellation program for manned flights to the moon? This must be quite a blow to the JSC.
LTAWACS
I heard about it the other day. Is this a done deal or are they still going to vote/wrangle over it? If it truly is dead... then that sux. We need that program to maintain the lead in spaceflight. Who does Obama think will keep the lead? Definitely not us but china. I wonder now... how many commercial spaceflight companies are in the US and in the Houston Metro. Hrm...

Presumably we would rely on them.

AtticaFlinch
Something about this does not feel right. We've exported our information technology to India, our debt to China and our manufacturing to Mexico and Southeast Asia with nary a peep, but export our space exploration to China, and now we've crossed a line, a Rubicon of comfortability, the Alamo of what is proper?I say the only way it doesn't feel right is in the pain caused by the knife wound in our nationalistic pride.
