Hate is a strong word so I can't say I hate him. I can however, say I despise him. <_<

But hey kids, I'm starting to gain concern over the "Tom Delay Show" spinoff that may be coming to a town near us next year. And that is the ever increasing steam engine of the "Dan Patrick Hour". Giant billboards are popping up all over, and yesterday I saw my first Dan Patrick bumper sticker.

There is no time for anyone to relax because if Tom Delay get's the boot, another wolf disguised in the cloak of morality and Christianity, who sucks almost as hard, could be waiting in the wings trying to work his way up to a place of power via the Senate. There is no time to rest.

Well, DeLay's replacement Roy Blunt graduated from a religious college. He might, as you said, be "another wolf disguised in the cloak of morality and Christianity.

Ashikaga, my concern is not their religion, as I am a Christian myself. My issue is them fooling so many people by using Christian labels and principles to do their dirty work. And are so extreme in their thinking, they end up hurting Houston in the long run more than they help it.

From my understanding, Dan Patrick will be running for Texas State Senator Jon Lindsay's seat, who is retiring after his current term expires. I have no love for Lindsay, but know very little about Patrick. I tried to listen to his talk radio before when Jon Matthews and after him the current owner of Taste of Texas took over, (can't remember his name), but I couldn't stand listening to either one. They hated everyone and everything and it was just a real depressing thing to listen to. What do you think Patrick will do differently than Lindsay (and trust me, anyone out there is an improvement over Lindsay!)? What are you the most worried about if Patrick were to become a serious contender for Lindsay's seat?

His Pat Robertsonesque religious views give me the most pause. In reference to Rita, "God spared Houston because there are so many churches here". In reference to Katrina, "I'm not saying I know God's plan but NOLA may of been hit because of that gay festival and the casinoes". He went on to say that Rita may have been a mop up operation by God to get the casinoes He missed with Katrina. The man is a loon in my opinion.

I agree with you. They use Christianity to cloak their perpetual practice of worshipping the Almighty Dollar.

I just received a news flash that a congressman from California pleaded guilty to accepting $2.4 million in bribes.

Make all tax cuts for the uber-wealthy permanant!" you'll wonder who just screwed you with your pants on-with a smile-while you poor suckers bleed a slow death.

Don't worry about your marriages, though. You don't need the threat of gays to maintain your obcenely high rate of divorce. Dan Patrick's gonna fix ya' right up!!!

The judge upheld the money laundering charge against Tom DeLay. I never have known exactly what "money laundering" is. Can someone out there tell me?
