About a 1/3 of the way through, Sam clearly says 96.5 (With the phone number 713-212-5965)?!?! When did Sam and Maria work at 96.5? So Sam left KHMX, went to KRBE, ditched Maria and returned to KHMX? Sorry if this has been posted before. They joke of Roger Clemens (07-08) in front of Congress and make a Lewenksy reference (95-97). This is a weird aircheck, when were Sam and Maria at Mix together? Then he just got annoying. Good riddance to that blowhard. What a shock that he will now be on a station owned by a politician. As for Roula and Ryan, I do get a little sick of Ryan going on and on and acting like his opinion is the end all, but Roula, Eric and Special K make it hilarious and usually either they or a caller will make fun of him, making it even a little better. They are def my go-to for morning shows. And IRL, Roula is the sweetest woman in the world. I met her years ago at a KRBE event the first time she was there, and she was awesome. I'm glad Maria's doing well. I liked her and I would say she got screwed by Sam, but it was probably lucky for her to not have to see his loserness everyday. Maria Todd Exits Afternoons After two years at CBS Hot AC KHMX (MIX 96.5)/HOUSTON, the last few in afternoons, market legend MARIA TODD has made an exit. Must be rough to be a DJ. No stability. And surprisingly, she is still talking to Sam Malone who ditch her for Michele Fisher. Go figure. Oh, and lastly Sam Malone gets fired again! Sam Malone is no longer at KSEV AM 700 The Voice according to a Facebook post today: Officially.... I was let go by the station last Monday. Said they wanted to go in a "different direction". I was never on vacation. Thanks for all the support. I'll be right here on FB with all my friends!!! A former morning show host on 104.1 KRBE and Mix 96.5 KHMX, Malone clearly still has the star factor after being on the radio here for decades. Why? I started receiving emails from his listeners last Monday about the talk show host not being on the air. I figured he was just on vacation. Then I got more and more tweets and emails asking about his whereabouts. Malone did confirm to me last week he was not on the air anymore and promised to talk to me this Monday. I waited to post till I heard from him officially. Now that he has come out publicly, I see no reason to wait now. His former KRBE co-host Maria Todd is now a weekend anchor at News 92FM KROI, but I'm going to say it anyway, let's hear it for a Sam Malone and Maria Todd radio reunion!
