97saturn Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 Very nice photos dhicks2000. Not sure if you meant to call it the George R Brown Park, as to identify the location for some, or if you did not know the name of the park (Discovery Green). However, enjoyed the nice photos, keep em coming Quote
mojeaux131 Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 IMHO, these are the best pictures of the park so far. I like how you got pictures from different areas of the park. Sugoi! Quote
ricco67 Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 Those are some sweet pics, Hicks (no rap intended). What kind of camera do you have? Quote
dhicks2000 Posted April 25, 2008 Author Posted April 25, 2008 Thanks for the compliments. I just have a Nikon Coolpix L3, point and click. I zoom in and take large (file size) pics, and then sew them together in a seperate program. The originals are huge and highly detailed, but these pics are modest and fit onscreen. They get the point across. Here are a few normal pics: Does anyone know how to clean a small camera lens? Quote
dhicks2000 Posted April 25, 2008 Author Posted April 25, 2008 Here are some more pics from yesterday. Looks like a fun place to live: (Across 59 from the Convention Center) Quote
rsb320 Posted April 25, 2008 Posted April 25, 2008 (edited) That's freaky. It makes me want to see the inside. Edited April 25, 2008 by rsb320 Quote
Jonah Posted April 29, 2008 Posted April 29, 2008 I actually used to rehearse in that warehouse. I think the first 3 floors are kind of musician lockouts for band practice, and the top level had people living in it. Very interesting place. Quote

Occasionally, those living in the top floor would get drunk and start shooting the building across the street. Quote
