That's odd. I noticed the red lights on the Chase Tower last night, too. I imagined they'd been there for a while, since I rarely see that building at night.

I've been working late and coming in early this week. Last night and this morning was the first time I saw them.

Must be for Valentines ;-)

They do look a bit silly, but how they relfect off the other buildings is neat, especially as the sun comes up with Fullbright glowing off the east.

If I could just capture this in a picture. The only blight is the overly lit Harris Co. parking garage; now that is one ugly mug.

Actually, I believe it is for National "Go Red for Women day" (the American Heart Association event). Hines will light up the following Houston properties in red:

Thats funny because my brother and I were driving through downtown that thursday night, Jan 31st, on our way to the casinos in Louisiana and I also noticed that the chase tower was lit up wih red. But I like it better than those plain white lights that are everywhere around town and have been for years and years. A little change is good even if it is just for a little while.
