Dan the Man Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 This is one of my favorite local commercials. The video must be the Austin version. Though virtually identical, I distinctly remember the Houston version featured a WHITE Cadillac Eldorado convertible of the same vintage. Quote
EastEnd Susan Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 (edited) Looks like Houston to me. I remember the 2 or 3 story brick building in the video that sits on the corner of Wayside and Harrisburg and the address on the building is 6847.. the Thunderbolt addy on Harrisburg. That commercial makes me miss the old Sears and the popcorn smell that would hit you when you walked in the doors. Edited December 19, 2007 by EastEnd Susan Quote

Look at the registration tags on the windshield. Also, the commercial with the white Cadillac was from the 1980's- I remember it from when I was a kid.Oh, and this video was filmed on Harrisburg- definitely in Houston, and is obviously for a shop in Austin. EatSleepMOD Posted December 19, 2007 Posted December 19, 2007 "...it's time to come to Thunderbolt, you don't need a brand new car!"I know all the words, I was a little girl when that commercial was on and I thoughtthat lady swinging her hat was soooo cool. Quote
