Forgive me and please move if this is not the right place. My husband had the pleasure of working with Tom Bellows and is stunned - he was only 53. Complete obituary in today's Chronicle.

Thomas Ferris Bellows Dec.31, 1954 - Oct. 15, 2007

Tom Bellows suffered a sudden and unexpected heart attack Monday, October 15, and died that evening. Surviving are his beloved wife Laura Bellows, adored sons Jack and Steven, brother Warren S. Bellows III, sister-in-law Ruth and several nephews and cousins. His intelligence, humor, generosity, kindness and integrity reach deep into the Houston community. As President and CEO of Bellows Construction Company, Tom represented the third generation of a company known for building the San Jacinto Monument, the Alley Theater, the Wortham Theater and numerous buildings impacting the Houston skyline. Services will be held Friday at 1:00 P.M. at First Presbyterian Church, 5300 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be sent to First Presbyterian Church (77004) or DePelchin Children's Center (4950 Memorial Drive 77007).
