Detteo
Nice pictures. Just an FYI the area that you said is the galleria is actually NW highway and 75, it is around Northpark Mall. That crazy satellite dish looking thing, ive always wondered what that is why driving along 35 too.

Mister X
Simply awesome. I love these photos. We rarely get to see Houston and Dallas from these angles. Thank you Boris.

Deut28Thirteen
Great Pics of H-Town & and the Big D! I always liked the Dallas skyline because of Fountain Place and their JPMorgan Chase Tower. The ones I liked the best were of TMC, it truly is a city within a city. Some other citys would die for the Texas Medical Center skyline. And the pic of the Spaghetti Bowl was perfect. I think its the best one in the country.
Boris
Thx for all the comments. Oops on the Dallas Galleria. Well, It all sort of looks the same from the air.

Gary
Fun pics Boris, and I especially like the Med Center pics. It's amazing to see how dense the area is getting.
Jax
Awesome photos. It seems like every time I fly it is too cloudy to take pictures of Houston. I am very impressed with these though. I almost don't need to take any myself now! I agree with Gary, the TMC is really impressive from the air! I love the aerial shot of Rice too! tcole
The "satellite dish" looking thing is actually a VOR beacon. Specifically, it is designated COWBOY, given its proximity to Texas Stadium. The metroplex has three primary VORs - that one, a sister beacon on the west side of DFW Airport named RANGER, and one centrally located in the median of International Pkwy south of the terminals at DFW Airport named MAVERICK. VOR stands for (V)ery High Frequency (O)mni-directional ( R )adio. Edited June 7, 2007 by tcole
Subdude
That has to be the best photo I've seen of the Med Center. I never realized how dense it has become. Great pictures as always.
The Great Hizzy!
Great pics all around, Boris, but those TMC photos were off the charts. I counted eight cranes in the TMC area alone. Schhhhhhweeeeet!!!
