    The fact that 60% of households within 5-miles are "renter-occupied" was kind of unexpected. We all know there's a lot of apartments, but that's a LOT of apartments.

    This is kind of a weird doc. While the filing date and stamp both point to a May 2016 filing, the information appears unchanged from 2014 or 2015. The "Area Conditions" section references several projects that are [were] anticipated as opening in 2015-2016 but never got out of the ground (JLB Post Oak - the site south of Astoria, and 800 Post Oak - the Inverness townhomes). That said, I would love to have the south-east pad developed... it would block some of the late-night motorcycle noise.

    I'm a huge fan of the idea presented above. It gets rid of the bus impact on the 610 frontage-Post Oak intersection, which is already functioning poorly during rush hour. Site as it is below (facing east). Pic by me.

    The building is not done, tons of people still on site. Ongoing work on the front facade with more paint and whatnot. I'm withholding judgement until it's totally done, but the lack of symmetry on the spirals feels terrible.

    I was posting photos of this back in April 2013... award for slowest continuous construction? The only thing I can think of that might have taken longer is the Rice Village block.

    Hard to tell from the photos, but the most recent floor is stepped in on the south-east corner. Looks like it is tapering.

    Trucks still periodically rolling in, and one lonely guy is pushing dirt around.

    They are definitely still there. Maybe with an even more permanent sign (??). The Verizon store (directly south) definitively had all of its signage removed.

    They are about 90% done w/the demo. Only the back row remains... and the sad pool in the middle.
