har.com is your friend.

Wow, prices sure have gone up. That's all $180 can buy you now?

Who cares if there is another house like yours somewhere in the vast land that is the USA. Really?
-
We actually live in a pretty clean city. You want dirty, go to the north east. Its like an art form over there. But I do see trash in our street, and I blame it on the illegals that think the are still in Mexico. Hey man, welcome to the US where we don't treat our cities like an open garbage can.

Isn't Emirates going to be one of the first airliners to get the A380? That would be sweet to see in Houston. Is IAH ready for an A380?
-
No way the diamond system would work in Houston. Too many "cowboys" that think they own the road. Too many illegals that don't give a crap about laws. To many housewives that don't know any better. The HOV system in Houston is the best. Keep it the way it its!

They look totaly ridiculous! I lurk on har.com and a lot of owners with pools have retrofitted an ugly waterfall with rocks to their otherwise fine pools. Terrible. Who's selling them this idea?
-
Usually no its not cheaper as you have to fur out the interior to put insulation and sheetrock.

Now you're saying that UH is as corupt as TSU? Give us some proof or retract your statement. Playing the race card at UH doesn't work since UH is the MOST diverse Major University in the US if not the world.

Concrete Blocks are the way to go in Houston. It's termite proof and will stand up to hurricanes a lot better than stick houses. FYI, usually they fill up the hollows in the concrete block with concrete and put steel rebars. This is very strong construction.

UH wasn't even allowed to open a north satellite campus because PVAM blocked it. How the heck are they going to get a Medical school passed UT? Sad but true, the state of Texas is being screwed by petty jealousy by UT and ATM.

The Med Center is a good example of what hard boundaries can do to architecture.

What sucks about this particular property is that its right next to the rail road tracks and pretty close to Houston's largest waste treatment plant to boot.

I heard that the reason its so bumpy on Buffalo Speedway south of Holcombe is because that's where the Army Corp of engineers dumped all the extra fill from Buffalo Bayou, when they dredged it. Very unstable. Also explains why there are lots of homes with foundation problems in homes around the Bayou.

Village Plumbing is terrible. They did the same thing with me. Would you believe they wanted $700 to replace an outdoor faucet/spigot? I ended up doing it myself for less than $20, all it needed was a new washer.

Speaking off, do you guys remember Bunnyland Acadamey for you women? -
It's a one bedroom house with a two bedroom guest house. That's a hard sell. Looks cool though. Wish it had more windows that you could actually enjoy the views from the living area.

Look on the bright side, we'll get a high draft pick, oh wait, maybe that's not a bright side. 40-7, I think the team has called it quits for the rest of the season.

Went to Best Buy on Gessner and 59South and the mega auto dealership next to it is gone. Used to be a Sam White dealer. Passed by daily when I went to school since the 80's. Sad to see it go. Kinda reminds me of the old Gillman dealership when it was cleared.

Do not remember being a college student? They don't exactly take care of things that don't belong to them.

15 minutes? You guys realize there are only 10 minutes between classes right? Also the apartments with the "greek row", I saw those going up and they are wood in construction. How lame is that? All dorms should be made of concrete blocks if they want them to last longer than 20 years.

Cambridge Oaks south boundary may physically be one block from the quads but its still really far. You're talking in terms of human scale not car scale. I believe the entrance to Cambridg Oaks is actually more like 3 blocks away with most of the apartments behind it. And it doesn't feel like part of the campus because its a closed off gated apartment complex! Doesn't exactly endear the residents to the campus.

I think the term you're looking for is; OWN3D. I lived here during those years and can tell you that almost every game had to be bought out to lift the black out. They made a big deal about it at the time.
