Newest Stadium rendering tweeted by Dynamo this afternoon.
EDIT: Link to full size - http://twitpic.com/6yy818/full
Really excited about the look and hopefully some good economic spur for the area. My biggest hope for the stadium is a video screen operator that knows how to run replays! Is that really so much to ask??

You didn't hear? Lil Jon is their new spokesperson.
(sorry, pretty weak I admit)

Oh please, you read to much into what I was saying. How about I strongly dislike soccer. Being PR will be the death of America---what's left of it. People's feelings too easily hurt. I think soccer is boring and stupid and I'm entitled to feel that way.
You are definitely entitled to have that opinion and should not feel bad about it. I grew up playing the game and still do - I have a different opinion. The main problem I have with other soccer fans is the fact they always seem to have to defend soccer's honor. I don't see that nearly as much for any other sport as I do for soccer.
To stay on topic, the progress is awesome so far. It's going to look very fresh and clean when built. I'm excited to watch a game there.

It appears I missed the pick 'em this year. I apologize to whoever will place last this year for not taking on that role myself.
On another note, I know we have a lot of aggies on this board...any of you guys still plan on making the trip to Lubbock this weekend?? I'll make sure to greet you with a firm handshake and a beer, after that I don't know you until after the game.

I had a little better luck on the seats...I actually got the hook up in a section that was set aside for only people associated with the NCAA. I was surrounded by coaches and all kinds of higher ups in the NCAA, it was kind of cool people watching and meeting some high profile people. I even met "former" Texas Tech AD Gerald Myers (he was sitting right behind me).
Here are some pictures from the games. It was an awesome time!
Hip hop artist Drake was all about Kentucky

Well I made good on my prediction! Another terrible set of picks for me!

Teams won't be set until Sunday night, but you can create your entry and join the group before then. The ESPN.com bowl challenge format wasn't the best, but I think the bracket challenge is done as well as any, and it's really easy. You can use the same user ID as the bowl challenge. Here's the info:
Get in on the excitement of this year's NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. Compete against other fans as you fill out a bracket and earn points for every correct pick! Come out on top and you could win $10,000. Get a group together and earn plenty of bragging rights amongst your friends by winning it all. Best of all, it's free to play and win.
Get in the action now:

Group: HAIF Bracket Challenge
Password: haify
Another chance for me to perform terribly in a HAIF sanctioned sports pick 'em event?!?! Sign me up!!!!

What you all fail to realize is I have picked another game worth 200 pts that is not on the list...that is where I will make my valiant comeback!
OK so obviously I did a terrible job this go round but it could be worse, I could be a Big Ten fan.

20th and brijon... you two were aware we're supposed to pick who we think would win each bowl, right ?
That's 6 losses in a row for each of ya.
I picked on opposite day...
-
Well, got the picks in. It was an odd year for CFB so who knows how these bowls will play out. Not really much science to my method, just found the games I thought were close to "locks" and moved them up and didn't really mess with the rest. Good luck to everyone named ME!
-
So for the confidence points...we are putting the highest points with our most confident predictions, correct?
-
Haha great name 20thstdad. That alone got me to sign up!

I'm guessing big Editor will have something to say on the subject before too long........

I like the youth the Astros have now. Excited for this upcoming season.
Yeah, the youth is good...until we develop them and they get called to greener pastures. I like having a stock of young, hungry talent but if we don't start having more success the good ones won't be around long enough.

I'd always heard the skyscraper situation in Dubai was a mess -- even worse than Bangkok with "ghost towers" that are entirely vacant. Bloomberg has an article about it now:
Oh yeah?! Well, well it still looks awesome!

Awesome, maybe they will renovate some of the team while they are at it .

I hadn't checked on this thread in a while...WOW Lotus DID come out of nowhere! The Elan is gorgeous. And is that a little Pininfarina side slit action on the Elite? Coming straight out of 550/575 Maranello world with those.
The Charger too is taking the side "scoop" detail from another illustrious sports car. They have basically the same shape as the Viper's massive slits.

He was always a nice guy, thank you for letting us know. Hope he is enjoying a better place.

Using it now. I like the layout and experience. Two thumbs up!

Well, yesterday was a let down but we're still in good shape at 2-1. We have a chance to get healthy against the Raiders next weeks so that's a benefit. Here's a little news story about the game: http://www.bluecollarbugle.com/2010/09/cowboys-back-under-investigation.html

Still early in the season! ...at least that's what I'm telling myself. Plenty of time to get lucky.

Lesson learned. From here on out I'll be locking them in by Wednesday to avoid this mishap. Bad luck to you all!
