I have some connections with firms around town. I don't want your money but would be happy to help. I work with civil engineers on an almost daily basis.

Thanks for the updates! Were these from the parking garage of the Houston First building?

Wood framed balconies 50' in the air scare me. Actually, they don't scare me now but rather 10 years from now if there is any kind of moisture intrusion.

This project is so far behind schedule, just looking at the pictures there is a lot of signs showing either poor construction management or a fiscally challenged project.
With the sign that says Fall 2016......There is still a crane up - If I am not mistaken Fall is about to start. I would be shocked if they had anything open by the end of Fall (even just a few floors).
I believe the sign says 'pre-leasing fall 2016'. I don't remember seeing any timelines for this one back in the day but I don't think they are that far behind schedule. The project downtown that is way behind schedule is the Texaco building renovation.

Now that's how you introduce a building to the public

Three awesome pics, but the middle one is definitely the money shot.
And I am even a Dan if the beige brick. In this instance it fits well.
Thank you!

Is that beige brick on the upper floors, or some other material like EIFS? Wasn't this supposed to have red brick at some point? Would be good to have a little more contrast with all the other skin-colored buildings.
It's a beige brick. I thought it was all going to be the color of the brick at the base of the building myself. I'm willing to see what the final product is before judging it, but I really do like the color of the brick at the base.

^^^^^ how were these shot? Drone?
that building next to the Magnolia is just begging for redevelopment.
There is a parking garage adjacent to 609 main that is 9 stories tall. Just walk in, take the elevator up and snap away

Well, barring some contract breaching, the Big 12 as it stands is probably here to stay until 2025 when the current agreements end. As far as expansion, I'd be cool with UH joining but I don't know how all the BIG 8 schools would feel about adding another Texas school. But sign me up for a Texas Tech - UH game here in town every other year!

Yup digging this one up from the dead. Bobruss saw them working on the garage facade recently. Any details on why they are having to replace all the beautiful stucco arleady??
