  1. Saw this For Sale sign the other month. Lots of vacant land on Buffalo Speedway. Probably will all slowly develop over the next 20 years.
  2. Briefly spoke with someone at WA. Very nice person! Told me the TDLR address of 1850 Holmes is wrong. The location is next to the other two apartments. Orleans at Fannin Station and Nantucket at Fannin Station. Somewhere in here. I asked if it was apart of their Corporate Centre Fannin Mixed-Use Development but they said no. The Corp Centre Fannin development lists multifamily.
  3. The Meyerland HEB has a plaque for Captain Gary L. Herod. I think that's very nice.
  4. Anyone know why this road extension was built? It's not a turnaround. It doesn't go anywhere, stops at the gate. The driveway has safety cones around it and markings on the fence. This would be a future road for a Menninger Clinic expansion?

  10. A Trip to the Oil Fields, 1921 https://ricehistorycorner.com/2015/10/27/a-trip-to-the-oil-fields-1921/ They also visited the Pierce Junction field, which was quite a bit closer to Rice, roughly where the Astrodome was later built. You could actually see it from campus if you got up on top of a building. It was also a big find and it was brand new in 1921:
