I am more or less just excited the dome's fate is now in the hands of the citizens of Houston. Once and for all we will all know how much this icon truly means to this city. Regardless if the vote is yay or nay, we only have ourselves to blame for the choice that was made.
I'll probably pop some popcorn and watch that vote trickle in with utter anticipation

Drove by this morning and the parking lot across from the fenced off Cafe Adobe is being torn up and worked on

As long as The Astoria is built the way the rendering portrays it to be, then I don't really see why anyone should be complaining regardless of who is behind it.

Anyone else planning on making it to demo morning bright and early on Sept 22nd?

So the office building height would be around 210-220?

Only thing I'm wondering is, who is Suzanne and why are we naming an apartment complex after her?
Pull out your lighters my friends, we might have a big Weezer fan on our hands

chron.com has a graft how much construction is happening around the country and absorption and we are number 1. It's under Business.
I couldn't seem to find the article. Do you happen to have a link?

H&M is in Willowbrook Mall, and we have Carl's Jr., so we probably won't get an In & Out Burger. But that last part is word of mouth.
I have an inside source who is an electrician for In & Out. He told me a few weeks back that Houston will get an In & Out Burger in 2014.

Thanks. I was told when I was younger that 100% humidity meant rain.
I was told the same thing growing up but isn't entirely true. The atmosphere can be completely saturated and holding the maximum amount of water vapor without falling as rain.

Can somebody merge both threads?
I think they should stay separate since the other one is mainly a poll and speculation merely on it's height. However this is the main thread on the subject.

I find it pretty awesome that you can see the Williams Tower in this shot.

I've always liked that stretch of 59, 610 and the Galleria as well as 610 and Bellaire with all the pine trees. I am certainly thankful for the roadside tree planting projects in the past decade that are starting to grow and look better.

If I use another picture and start over will you forgive me??
I agree with TowerSpotter, it looks great. I'm awful with photoshop so I'm not dogging you in the least. I just love how rough the original actual image was to begin with.

Here is a very crude attempt at updating this with what we have for the International tower.
I love how awful the original quality of this picture is before the photoshopped additions. As grainy as all the existing buildings are, the whole thing looks like it is photoshopped together haha

haha, yep. i wonder if Ricco ever got in..
If he did I am sure we would have heard something about it lol

What you'll find on the bill of fare are Fusion Taco food truck favs like quesadillas and signature tacos in addition to hearty sandwiches, big salads and sides. The list that includes tempura rock shrimp tacos with wasabi aioli, watercress and togarashi, Chinese barbecue Berkshire pork tacos with roasted corn salsa, grilled mahi tacos with pineapple salsa and 24-hour beef short rib vindaloo tacos with cucumber relish is dressed up with a Texas Kobe beef burger, panko crusted snapper sandwich, seared tuna kale salad, mulligatawny soup and ginger tres leches.
