  1. They ought to just hold off on trying to get any sod going until after Free Press. Just gonna get completely destroyed if they do plant grass now.
  2. Maybe there should be different thread for this but the huge parcel of land between bordered by Schuler/Detering/TC Jester/Washington appears to be under development. The tow yard has closed/moved and the walls are being torn down. Snapped a couple pics just on my way home when I saw it. They could do some awesome stuff with that chunk of land, hope it's more than just apartments.
  3. Possible yes. Expensive yes. Will the demand for it be there someday down the road? Yes. Houston will get a subway system someday. The market will demand it if 137,000+people a year keep moving here.
  4. Some new aerial shots by the Trib. Looking great. The jewel of the brazos. http://wacotrib.mycapture.com/mycapture/enlarge.asp?image=51162460&event=1784083&CategoryID=74364&picnum=29&move=F#Image
  5. I don't get it, unless you're referring to the tint and that is due to the window being tinted that color and it being filthy. ~You're welcome for the pics.
  6. And the view of this from the 33rd floor of 1 houston center/lyondellbasell... Oh, and Happy Opening Day Astros!!!!
  7. From the 33rd floor of 1 Houston Center/LyondellBasell. Hard to tell from the pics but they had a crew going nonstop with a bobcat and all sorts of machinery up on the top floor they were tearing down. Really interesting to watch. Sorry the pics aren't better (iphone).
  8. Uber is fantastic. How the hell this city hasn't allowed Uber to come in yet already is mind blowing. Go to Dallas, Austin, wherever else it is and try Uber. You will never go back.
  9. If you're talking about that rectangular peninsula inbetween the track stadium and the football stadium, it will be tailgating spots and I believe there might be an amphitheater of some sort. Can't remember. 10. Sad to see Blancos shut down. I was told the owner got a great rate on tuition for the kiddos.
  11. Just a couple pictures while I was walking my dog around there. Leasing office is open. Landscaping is just about finished
  12. They were putting new window washing equipment on the Fulbright building this afternoon. They may have been doing the same with 2 Houston.
  13. Both are great IMO. You should do whatever is easiest for you!
  14. THIS. Roommate and I took a trip up to Dallas recently. The municipal/public courses up there are leaps and bounds better than what Houston has to offer. Herman really needs to get it together. It could be a great inner loop course... See memorial park.
  15. Float/fish/have fun on the the _____ river. Frio, Guadalupe, Blanco, San Marcos, Llano, etc.... Some of the most beautiful hill country around. Fastest growing wine region in the world if you're into checking out vineyards and what not.
  16. Some helicopter shots from today. The other building is the law school.
  17. I'm partial to Waco -- a few great museums (Texas Sports Hall of Fame, Texas Ranger & Dr. Pepper), a fantastic zoo, beautiful Cameron Park (hiking, biking, frisbee golf, etc) and it's all dirt cheap. Downtown is really coming around too. Of course I lived there 5 years so I got to know it pretty well. Others will disagree but they likely haven't spent much or any time there besides driving down I-35.
  18. I am eager to see if this building will show well from Memorial Drive/West view where all the tv cameras setup for sporting events, skyline shots, etc.?
  19. This link should answer any bridge design questions. It will be nice to have the new bridges and access roads ready along with the stadium in 2014. http://www.roadsbridges.com/sites/default/files/42_IH-35_1112R&B.pdf
  20. A couple random pictures. It's coming along very quickly. This thing is going to be huge. The steel for the roof will extend another 40-50 ft taller than it currently is. Drove past it on I-35 the other day and it looks just incredible.
