I bet you're right. The new elevated portion of the Gulf Fwy northbound exit for 59 & 288 is probably my favorite ramp in the city at the moment. I can imagine how (pretty much) that same view would look from a few miles back. That's between 288 and the Ship Channel, which might be the most underrated view of the city.

Gonna have to hit that one up soon...appreciate the heads up.

Don't forget the new 610 southbound in the Galleria area to 59 north.

It's projects like this that have me very excited about the future of Uptown.  This building, both Hanovers, all the new highrise condos/MF on Westcreek, Post Oak Blvd's future retail, the Rosewood development + other high end hotels looking in the area, the growing emphasis on walkability, and even the new high-rise luxury senior living project on Garretson.

I have to assume this area will have very few rivals nationally, for areas outside a CBD.  A lot to be excited about for sure.

Buckhead in Atlanta rivals Uptown but I think Uptown has better potential!

Oh yeah I wish they would hurry and hang the rings over the intersections back up!

Is it the technology or is it wind and environmental damage? I know the cheap self adhesive ones you buy are delicate, but I've never seen the all the bridges completely working or changing to the right color at the same time. It did a few years ago during the revamp, but continues to get worse. The strips can mess up but what about the spot lights that are encased? How do those fail?

I know you don't have the answers to this. It's just so strange cities in China, Dallas, New York, can master LEDs simultaneously on different buildings or structures and we can't do a few small bridges.

Those lights have never really worked even after they were redone after the superbowl.
