According to Swamplot, which got it from the Houston Press, Los Dos Amigos at 5720 Washington Blvd. is closing in February to make way for more condos. No further information on the size of the project or other details.

Everything about that design says "eh". Looks like 8 is the new 6...

And presumably they will be priced accordingly.

Gee, first LA Fitness takes the NE corner of Bellfort and Chimney Rock, now this. Can one imagine someone redeveloping Westbury Square next?

That just screams "wrap".

Excavator on site... and a porta-potty.
Then it must be a real project.

I sincerely do not think ZaZa is trying to imitate the W. The ZaZa is like the Bombay Company/Pier 1 on steroids, and the W is Crate & Barrel. Hotel Derek is a dirty free for all.
Did you say "dirty" or "dutty"?

Like Skyhouse Gunspoint?
More likely Skyhouse Willis, followed by Skyhouse Brookshire.
Actually, this sort of development would fit well in Galveston, but I don't sense residential highrises are very active, saleswise, on the Island.
