  1. You're right! I didn't find it because I don't think the text of the streets was written in the thread, only an image of the map. Anyways, I merged the topics and improved the title.
  2. There are threads for the other apartment near Richmond and Montrose, as well as the new Campanile office building also on Richmond near Montrose.
  3. I hope this isn't a duplicate thread, but I noticed some construction at Bissonnet and Dincans which looked like an apartment. This block is very near Bissonnet and Kirby. Does anybody know anything about this?
  4. That is hilarious but probably does not belong in Going Up.
  5. I agree that Metro does a horrible job of keeping to their schedules. As it is now, the app isn't all that useful because any day I want to take the bus, I don't know ahead of time whether the next bus will have GPS or not. If it does, the app seems to work ok, but if it doesn't then I have no idea if it's going to be 10 minutes late or 10 minutes early. Luckily I live in a spot where I can either walk to Wheeler station (10 minute walk) or take the 25 bus instead of walking. Sometimes on really hot days I'd rather take the bus than walk and that's when I'd like to use the app. On other days if the bus isn't there when I walk by the stop I just keep going to the light rail station. Anyways, I'm looking forward to the day when this app can help me decide if it's worth waiting for the next bus or if I should forget about the bus and walk instead.
  6. I don't think it works very well. Just now I was using it to see the next bus arrival time for the 25. I was at the bus stop and it said "scheduled: 5 min". I waited for the timer to tick down to 1 min then I checked again and it said "real time: 35 min". I was thinking I must have missed the bus. It must have come early and the scheduled time didn't know that and the real time value didn't update until the bus passed. So I started walking to wheeler and a block later the 25 comes speeding by. So the schedule didn't work and the real time value didn't either. Has anybody had better luck?
  7. To me this building is more more interesting looking than One Park Place. I am looking forward to a rendering which shows how it would impact the skyline. How many stories is One Park Place for comparison?
  8. I think this project deserves its own thread. http://swamplot.com/could-this-be-downtowns-next-residential-highrise/2013-05-29/
  9. Some photos of the intersection with the Red Line downtown that I took today.
  10. Why does the rendering only show the bottom of the tower?
  11. I agree that it's great for the hood. I walk to Wheeler station along richmond a few days a week and it will be great having more life/activity in the area. I just realized how close some of the windows will be to the spur, and walking under that overpass every day I know how nasty it is under there. As you can see, some of my photos are taken from under the spur.
  12. I feel bad for the people who will have a view of the spur overpass.
  13. Why was this moved to Crater Houston Alliance? Isn't this forum for things that are being torn down? I'm going to move it to Midtown unless anybody has an objection.
  14. I tried and it posted just the URL but now it shows the embedded video. Weird.
