Vertigo58:
The ones I play over and over again to name a few:
Henry Mancini - Greatest Hits
Percy Faith - most of his European compilation hits
Did you know Henry Mancini composed the theme song to "What's Happening"?
Percy Faith is great, too!
Let's see, Astra Heights is one of my favorite new discoveries. They're originally from the Houston area. Holla!
I love music. Just whatever. All types. But my least favorite is probably newer country (most of which is just tacky) and hip-hop.
I love to discover new music, old music, and rediscover music I had forgotten about.
I've really gotten into ELO over the past several months.

Gross? Or Crass?
Gross. There's something about that word. I used to avoid having to say it, but it's so common now.
-
I've always hated the word blog. It sounds gross.

Is that Hitler cat real? That is funny.
-
I love cats with a marking on their chin! They're cute.
This is mine:

I still have not gone there, but I was around there yesterday evening around 6:30. I was downtown picking up some Astros tickets for a later game. There were some vollyball tournaments going on at the GRB, so Disco was packed with a lot of those folks. It looked like a party at the Grove as well and there were tons of kids playing in the fountains.

The people in the first video look like they need to be checked for lice. I know it's local, so sorry if any of them are some of you. :giggles:
Now that song is stuck in my head. I'm probably going to have to download it.

Lockmat needs to start a new Texans thread and this one needs to be renamed.
Sorry, Lockmat. It's my fault.

Looking for feedback regarding the apartments located at 7100 Almeda road.
Thanks for the help!

I do in my heart.

CDeb:
Our MLS team had a perfect name until some people who still wish history had turned out differently decided that they should be offended.
I preferred the Houston 1836 over the Dynamo as well. I'm kind of indifferent on the name itself. Dynamo sounded kind of silly at first, but I'd much rather have the Houston 1836 back in a minute. I liked the logo with Sam Houston.

I'm not defending Roger. Obviously I wasn't there. But I heard that this singer as both a new CD coming out as well as a reality series.

Does anyone remember the seafood restaurant called Angelo's Lobster Trap located near the Texas Medical Center at 7525 South Main Street?
I was wondering if anyone has any photos, or even post cards of this restaurant.
Thanks again HAIF!

Who has information on the old Airway Theatre located at 5206 Airline Road?
-
I was looking forward to Earth Quest Adventures.
-
Who has history of the (very old) Cozy Theater located at 1112 Texas Avenue in Downtown? Did I read right that it opened in October 17, 1910?

Didn't think it deserved its own tread (yet), so I'd mention on here.
Just heard a teaser on Ch. 13's 11am news that perhaps the Dome might be a film studio??
I can almost see that happening.
I saw a promo for that last night, but I didn't know it had to do with the Astrodome. They just said something about Houston possibly being the next Hollywood and I rolled my eyes and said "lame".
I don't see it happening.

One of my favorite funny videos ever! I've been searching for this for a while and I finally found it. I love it!
It's the one 19 seconds in:

Swallowing large chunks of ice whole is also a nice sensation.
NewMND:Fast-food seafood (LJS, Captain D's), yay or nay?
LJS is way too greasy. I always joke that you don't need to order a drink with your meal, because you can just suck the grease out of the food instead. I haven't had Captain D's in a very long time.

Cheese: disgusting but at the same time good.

Two more feeder street shots of Memorial Hermann on I10. Taken with a camera phone:
What is the thing on the top? I've been wondering that for a long time. It looks out of place.

Not so much impressed with Texas in general, but go Houston! For some reason I was thinking Houston would be less this time around.
-
That's so funny!
Free bongs Warning - gross crime

I second that.
I remember hearing about a similar story, but I can't remember where it happened.
