  1. I'm 22. But anywho, I can never get enough of Stewie Griffin and Meatwad
  2. Speaking of, does anyone know why so many proposals for these mega-complexes in Houston are popping up all over the place? Maybe it's a trend all over the country, I dunno, this is the only architecture site I frequent.
  3. So I guess as we get closer to May, they'll be revealing additional tenants here and there? I've never eaten at an Emeril's but it seems like one of those might work there. Oh, and a M&M World. And maybe a GameWorks
  4. Will this be the first actual House of Blues in Texas? I've never been, but I've been told I have to go to their Sunday Gospel Brunch, I guess that is something they're famous for. And if they're gonna be calling Galveston the "Little Easy", they why shouldn't there be a House of Blues around as well!
  5. Well I guess it's Houston 1836. I'll have to look up the significance of 1836,since I don't know my TX history
  6. okay, I have to use Terminal B, so when is it's redo supppose to start? Is it being torn down and rebuilt from scratch? And this airport lingo confuses me, such as "RJ" and "banks of gates."
  7. Won't they fill up with water during rain storms? Or is that kinda the point?
  8. Well I didn't see 60 Minutes, and I don't know who this Kinky is, but I would love to have a governor named "Kinky", so I'll go with that person.
  9. Well lookee here, I looked at the map, and it seems you're right. So they plan on building two of these big honkin projects next to each other on Westheimer? Interesting. So there's those two, Boulevard Place, Pavillions, Town&Country Center, the Memorial City "City" project, the project on Richmond at the HISH HQ. I have faith some of these will get built, just "when." Hopefully something breaks ground this year.
  10. That's the project they plan on building at the old car dealership, yeah? Looks nice, and bigger than I thought. Now if only one of these big ambitious projects would actually break ground.
  11. I'm pretty sure Club Houston is one of those sex clubs that was on the news awhile back. So that kind of "happy ending"
  12. Maybe the lineup just has to do with timing. It seems the non country acts in the past were already on tour when they came to Houston, or had a new album to promote. Maybe this year there just weren't as many artists out the there the Rodeo could get, not an effort by the Rodeo to go backwards. For instance, Beyonce is busy making a movie right now. Anyways, that's just my theory, I don't actually know what went into the Rodeo picking process. But Houston native Hilary Duff is returning this year, but hopefully someone else can outsell her, it just doesn't seem right for Hilary Duff to have the Rodeo attendance record.
  13. I was at the Galleria and noticed they're putting a "The Oceannaire" restaurant in the Lord & Taylor space. I've been to one in California, it's pretty good, but kinda expensive from what I remember. Oh, and the empty land next to Lakewood has been cleared and all that, what are they building there, I didn't see any signs. Is it maybe a church expansion?
  14. Also I think the name of the team shoud be based on where the stadium is built. If it's built downtown, then it should be something space, like Apollos or something (although I wanted to save Apollos for our future NHL team), since they'll be playing near the Astros and Rockets. If it's at Reliant, then something Texas-ey, like Mustangs or whatever. Looking at the names of AEGs other teams, I don't see it getting "FC" or "AC" or whatever, but instead a Houston + Mascot name. But anyways, I hope they're not still considering Delmar.
  15. Noooo, it's gotta be built on the old AstroWorld parking space next to Reliant! Then it can tie in with the Reliant Convention Center and whatever redo of the Astrodome, and lightrail access. Plus, I don't think there would be any overlap with the MLS season and NFL, and no overlap with the Rodeo.
  16. Well the Air Force is the largest military presence in San Antonio, but I believe the Air Force is also the least diverse branch of the military.
  17. So when do you think the "Name our Soccer Team" contest will begin?
  18. And today should be the day we find out if Houston is getting the Earthquakes!
  19. Well it is being built inside the beltway loop! As far the inner loop, there is that project proposed for the HISD HQ site on Richmond.
  20. Okay, I was thinking this project was gonna be smaller, but after looking at the site layout, the place looks huge! It looks like it's gonna be larger than the project proposed for the HISD HQ site on Richmond, is that right? Oh yeah, one more question, on the site layout, in the top corner there's a spot that says "Future Development", but I think that's where the Radisson is, so is that hotel coming down?
  21. If Houston got a soccer team, and they decided to build a soccer stadium from scratch, I'd like to see them build on the Astroworld parking lot. Then just about every major sports venue would be easily accesible from the light rail.
  22. WIth the talk of a Galleria expansion, where would they build? I'm no visionary, so there may be a way around it, but it seems the Galleria is getting pretty landlocked nowadays.
  23. Well the Bloomingdales can't go into the Macy's space because it has to anchor the Galleria 5 I've created in my head. And speaking of movie theaters, sorta in the same area of town, a friend of a friend of a guy who knows someone who knows someone else told me they're building a movie theater at Memorial City Mall, is this true?
