  1. Hey Guys, I am currently in Dubai. I am open to any suggestions on what you guys think I should take pictures of.... Once I get the list, I would go ahead take the pics and post them up later this week.
  2. Hmmm...I know what company you guys talking about when you say R&R. I love those acronyms...how about DFAC, LWOP. The PX? Does that sound familiar to you guys? Be careful out in Afghanistan...especially in Afghanistan...you guys still sleep in tents over there from what I heard.
  3. Like I told you guys, I've traveled so much to Dubai ( will be here again this weekend!!!) that I know the in's and out's of that place. The reason the Sheik Mohammed Ak Toum is building Dubai in a fast pace is because of TOURISM. You have to understand, Abu Dhabi is the sister city of Dubai. Abu Dhabi has lots of OIL and its whole economy surrounds that natural resource. Now Dubai, does not have that much Oil so the SHEIK wanted to jump start Dubai's economy through TOURISM. Yes, they are building in a fast pace ( imagine them building 5 downtown Houston at ONCE) in order to get some good return. As you all know, they have built the Palm Jumeraih which by the way is ALL SOLD...I've been on the Palm Island and its OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! I have to give props to the person that came up with this kind of building structure. Nightlife is AWESOME!!! I recommend club Trilogy at the Madinat Jumeraih and Peppermint inside the Fairmont Hotel. You will NOT be dissappointed. There is so many things available to do in Dubai...even some that you would of NEVER expect to happen in a Muslim country.
  4. Exactly. The pictures that I posted are from Ski Dubai.
  5. Yes, Dubai is very diverse: You have arabic, american, brits, chinese, filipino's, indian etc.... The cafe shot I took it at the Dubai Marina close to a hotel of the name Grosvenor House. I would heavily recommend the Buddha Bar located inside that hotel...very nice and chill atmosphere to socialize. Here are some more pics of my trips to Dubai. Enjoy...
  6. I've been to Dubai so many times for business trips. I have actually been on the Jumeraih Palm Island that is almost complete. Here are some pics of DUBAI
  7. I think the house you are talking about is on E Hardy Toll Road and Gulf Bank. I want to say that is a "true" mansion and I have mentioned it before in this forum. I would try to post pics later.
  8. Does anybody know where is this place located on Main street? Is it what use to be The Vault or Barcode?
  9. Been to Dubai MANY times for Business. Extremely Safe. I would HIGHLY RECOMMENDED IT!!! Here are some pics of my trips.
  10. Smoking in a lounge/club - I think eventually it will be banned everywhere like in L.A Nike Shox shoes - the tennis shoes with springs at the bottom Reality Shows - I think their welcomed is overdue Fax machines - does anybody still use this? Cd's, dvd's
  11. Another blown save from Mr. Lidge!!! What does this tell you?
  12. Ok, so if anybody that has ever watched "I love the 80's" on VH1, you know at the direction that I am going to. I see so many trends now that may seem "cool" for today's age but 15-20 years from now we are going to be like...WHAT IN THE F### WERE WE THINKING? Ok so I will give a list of things that people started with trends in this new millenium 2000-present Myspace - why is this site so addictive? There were so many of them out there even before myspace Lance Armstrong Cancer Yellow wristbands - (are ugly looking n eventually brought too many posers) faux hawk haircut - aka David Beckham's styling haircut mouth "grills" - Can you say PAUL WALL!!! Current cell phones like RAZR - Sure they look cool now, but just imagine what the future has for us. T-shirts with messages - Ex. abercrombie, a&e shirts with messages about states, restaurants etc.. Spinning wheels/rims IPOD - again, imagine how the future's technology will change this Ok guys, please continue the list...
  13. Changes are good. I think ever since Sam Malone left ( although I didn't like him) things started to go downhill and just became too repetitive. C'mon, how many times in a day can we listen to Kelly Clarkson, All American Rejects, Mariah Carey, Fall Out Boy etc... I do support the more of a mix type music or probably go back to a techno-like station at night.
  14. If cab fare became cheap in Houston, do you think that more residents will start using a cab rather than get in a car and drive to their destination?
  15. In other parts of the world, there are abundance of taxis on the road and are very cheap too. My question is, why can't Houston have a cheap taxi fare like other cities in the world?
  16. I remember going to Woolworth's as kid in the late 80's for the pizza found by the entrance. I remember the stairs in Woolworth's....how I missed my childhood.
  17. Ok ...we have heard East End, Idylwood, Midtown, Washington Corridor are all neighborhoods that are up and coming with gentrification. Now my question is...where do you predict will be the next "boom" of new townhomes/house development where you will see yuppies, bohemians, professional be trying to established themselves and creating another midtown? Is there still a place left in the Houston area that has lots of potential but for some reason builders are quite not taking the risk right now, but do have an eye on it as future potential?
  18. Anybody has info on these condos/townhomes? They look pretty nice from the outside and seem to be isolated from everything too.
  19. Let's not forget that this is AMERICA...the land of the free! So if you want to fly any other flag, is your right.
  20. In my opinion, I don't think the Astros will make it to the World Series this year. I just don't see any good relief pitchers for us as of now.
  21. Ben Reyes, once a prominent local politician in Houston, will be coming back to town to finish his prison sentence. If he would of never committed any crime, could he had been the mayor, governor of Texas, or congressman?
  22. I know that 6th degrees lounge/bar closed its doors not so long ago...do you know if they are going to reopen anything new in that space? 6th degrees used to be located at the bottom of the bayou lofts building.
  23. Look at Brooke Burke...how many kids has she had...3? And she still looks hot! ( Well lost some points after she took out the implants). But anyways, just some observations... Everybody have a good day at work!
