  9. You are right about fixing up an older home which I would love to do, but I've heard that it can be as expensive as building a new home.
  10. Will you ever built a new custom home in a shady bad neighborhood that's close to downtown? When i say bad, i don't mean crime wise just other houses in terrible shape.

  13. I know, the only thing that frightens me a bit is the maintanance fee. it averages from $350 - $550 a month.

  16. I know the Kirby Lofts in downtown Main Street do not have any parking. How are the residents that live in that building dealing with that? Do they have contracts with local parking garages?

  18. Yes your right. I've noticed some of the maintanance fee's on downtown lofts are high.
  19. I'm currently leasing at St. Germain and I love it. There is nothing that concerns me as of now. My price range would be 150k - 200k.

  21. I am thinking in reselling 5-8 years from now. Are there areas in the inner city Houston area where you recommend to avoid for a townhome?
  22. I am a single 26 year old young professional and I am finally going to go through the big commitment in buying my first place this year. If you were in my position, what would you rather buy...a townhome in the inner city Houston area or a loft (condo) in downtown? What would have a better resale value down the line? Your advice is welcomed. Thanks.
