  1. At the end of the day, this is just a forum. It is a place for us to share what we know, what we feel, what we are thinking, and ask questions. @Houston19514I knew the moment you asked me where I was seeing reviews, you were going to try to tell me how wrong I am (just based on your track record). Good to know that you treat exaggerations or any small side comments as objective statements. Not sure why? Maybe you just really like trying to prove people wrong to make yourself feel better (kudos to you). Anyways, learned my lesson to just not engage with you.

Think about the impressions you are making. You take the joy out of this forum, and I am sure I am not alone in that feeling. I see how you respond to others, often condescending and in a negative tone. Wish you all the best and look forward to seeing more of your comments on the forum :). Always a pleasure....

  3. @Houston19514 The reviews are paragraphs long. If multiple people had such a poor experience that they would spend a decent amount of time to write it out, I think it is a sign. Maybe to clear up the confusion, since you do love to harp on tiny details, I should've said this:

Ciel has some pretty *interesting* one star reviews. Take that with what you will, but I would be hesitant to go after reading the ones on Google.

Yea, you're right. Me saying the reviews are terrible is a blanket statement....But hey, what if you went to Ciel for a night out and see for yourself since you are so adamant that the reviews are pointless ;). Let us all know your experience.

FWIW, it is getting old how you try to correct so many of us on this platform.

Agreed, but unfortunately the bus route serving Memorial Park is so infrequent (every half hour) that it's not worth it for many to bother.

A group of us took route 20 to the event today. It was standing room only heading out of downtown :). Pretty packed on the way back too...Picked up probably 10-12 riders on our way into DT at the end of the event.

  5. Such a shame, even more upsetting to think that within the next decade there will be a bus rapid transit line down this part of Richmond. Have to wonder how successful a large gas station would be after Richmond goes down to one lane in each direction with limited crossings with the BRT.

  6. I watched the Capital Planning Committee Meeting. It does not appear METRO would cut any stations at the moment. The presentation focused on how METRO could use Bcycle as an outlet for first/last mile connections with their riders. Now it could change, but I believe this a great thing for Bcycle. They obviously need help (the current 70 station shutdown must be addressed), and METRO can give them the necessary help.

  7. I get what you're saying, but route 754 in Los Angeles is not BRT. It does not have dedicated lanes and its running in mixed traffic throughout one of LA's most congested corridors: Vermont Ave. It is more like Houston METRO's route 402 Quickline service.

If you want to compare Silver Line to other BRT routes, try the G Line in Los Angeles, which is 100% dedicated bus lanes, like the Silver Line.

The current schedule shows 27 minutes end-to-end, not 45ish.

My bad, you know what I meant tho. Whatever the current schedule is already way too conservative with timing.

Plus, if I'm not mistaken, they have ability to override the traffic signals if they need to in order to stay on schedule.

So METRO has yet to actually get the TSP up and running on the Silver Line. It is installed, but there has been some software glitches along the way and they're trying to work out the kinks. Hopefully TSP will come into play soon. Also, METRO has severely padded the Silver Line's schedule. They need to make it way more aggressive, buses can prob traverse the corridor between 25-35 min...not the 45ish minutes they have currently in the schedule.  If you are a rider of the Silver Line, I would suggest filling out a public comment asking about status of TSP so METRO understands it is an important component for the rider's experience and try to get it online sooner rather than later.

Sorry if this has already been answered but will Richmond be rebuilt and on the other BRT routes planned are the streets being rebuilt or is it as needed?

Yes, all the roads and sidewalks along the BRT corridor will be rebuilt.
