Woah! Build it yesterday!
City of College Station councilman Bob Yancy said an 800 bed complex is breaking ground "imminently". I believe it is this one, Nova Northgate. There's also a recent TDLR filing for it with a start date of December 1. 2023. This one will make an incredible new gateway into urban College Station from the west.

He also gives a nice vision/prediction for the next 15 years for the city. In this, he says there are half a dozen high-rises in Northgate in the planning and permitting process now.

The Industrial Distribution Building No. 1 is now open.

The Animal Reproductive Biotechnology Center is now underway.
The Rosenthal Meat Science and Technology Center will receive a new ~$125 million, 75,000 sf facility adjacent to the Animal Reproductive Biotechnology Center.

The RELLIS STEM Education Center was recently approved for construction.
RELLIS Campus Data Center should (finally) begin construction next year. Although the mayor of Bryan on a radio interview recently said it had already started.

The Quantum and Artificial Intelligence Chip facility is on the capital plan for $100 million dollars. Not sure where on the campus it will be located.
Additionally, $30 million were appropriated by the legislature for a hypersonic wind tunnel.
Blinn's second building at RELLIS is now open.

This is hilarious I was just thinking about this the other day how long overdue this is this project is a big deal it's going to relieve a whole lot of congestion over there! They need to work on 45 South and 610 next I know they just built the new ramps but that spot is terrible.
I expect the left hand entrances and exits to be moved to the right hand side as part of the project to rebuild 45 South from 69 to the Beltway. There's a PEL that should be finishing up this year underway.

Significant overhaul in the works for a portion of Main St. downtown. This project would permanently remove vehicle lanes from these sections of Main St. and raise the grade of the former roadway to sidewalk level.

Galveston Wharves Board of Trustees approved the engineering contract for the fourth cruise terminal and a parking garage. Connected to this, the port should have a contract with MSC within 30 days.
Additionally, in 2024, the port will demolish the ADM grain elevator, reopen the skywalk across Harborside Dr., and make some roadway improvements.

So they scaled this project back? I was thinking it was going to be multiple blocks similar to these Baseball oriented villages in other cities.
The rendering doesn't scream "Baseball" or "Astros" to me.
Just looks like a hotel the Houston Astros are investing in.
I don't think it's unreasonable to think of this as just the first phase. The rendering is also clearly VERY preliminary. Looks more like a massing and lighting study accompanied by a drawing and site plan.

The Port of Galveston Board of Trustees approved moving forward with the fourth cruise terminal on Tuesday. They deferred action on a $7 million contract for design and engineering services until after meeting with the City Council today (have not heard the outcome of that meeting). They will take action on that contract in November.
Rendering and site plan for the fourth cruise terminal and garage:
The board also approved a lease for the USS Texas to be moored at Pier 10, pending approval from the Army Corps of Engineers and pilots association.

“Harris County commissioners move forward with plan to revitalize NRG Park“
“Ideas discussed for the project included adding more green space, economic mixed-use areas instead of a massive parking lot that is empty most of the time, and looking to potential developments in the surrounding area, Precinct 1 Commissioner Rodney Ellis said.”
“The HCSCC shall present a minimum of two alternative plans based on national best practices and examples to redevelop, revitalize and plan for the future of the NRG Park complex.”- 11

Given the significant amount of surface parking here, this development does a really nice job of obscuring it from the street.
I hope the next phase of East River (and whatever eventually gets built in the tract directly north of this development) follows suit.
I agree. Plus, if the parking needs are reevaluated in 5 years, 10 years, etc. and found to be lower than current capacity, parking space can be turned into other uses much easier than if the parking followed the perimeter of the site and wrapped around the buildings.

The Wharves Board of Trustees will also be considering a CMAR contract at Tuesday's meeting for the fourth cruise terminal. There may be some drama here though as trustees have repeatedly delayed moving forward with the cruise terminal (and upgrades to an existing one) to chase a dream of additional cargo operations development despite cargo being on the decline in Galveston and tourism being on the rise (check the numbers in the agenda packet below and note Carnival's very recent plans to add another ship in Galveston).
Just this year Del Monte has announced its exit (this is where cruise terminal no. 4 will go) and now the port has negotiated an early contract termination with ADM with potential plans to demolish the grain facilities.

Location and rendering of the central plant:
There will be a deviation from the masterplan. The NSMV, the TS Lone Star State will be moored at a new dock on the other side of the boat basin:
The new engineering building (I believe starting construction next year), will be located a bit closer to the current engineering buildings (and have a bit bigger footprint) than identified on the master plan:

The city is in the process of finalizing the Northeast Gateway Redevelopment Plan, a city initiated planning effort of the area around the front of campus, centered around the Texas and University intersection. Hopefully this comes to fruition as this will vastly improve the entrance into campus and provide an expanded urban core for the city.

Bryan is growing up and dreaming big!
This is located at the corner of South College and Inlow, in Bryan's "North of Northgate" neighborhood.
"The City of Bryan has partnered with Lero & Associates, Inc. to acquire property, utilities and entitlements, and plan the development in order to secure a master developer to assist in creating a high-density, mixed-use community. To visualize the redevelopment, the city has partnered with OMNIPLAN, a highly qualified architecture firm.
The project will utilize one of Bryan’s most viable redevelopment opportunities, align with future growth of the community, and continue to incorporate strategic partnerships to create a captivating and prosperous master-planned development."
Here's the building and landscaping layout for the plan above.
Of note, catty-corner to this, the Normandy Square apartments were recently under contract and the listing shows as no longer for sale. Could not confirm a deed change on Brazos CAD but rumors on local forum, TexAgs, state Normandy Square will be redeveloped into midrise/highrise apartments Additionally, it was marketed on Cruxes as a student housing development site, fueling the rumor of redevelopment to higher and better use. If so, excellent news for Northgate and it confirms my previous prediction in this forum.

St. Mary's Seminary At 9845 Memorial Dr.

Classical architect Duncan G. Stroik created a master plan for St. Mary's quite a while ago. It isn't called out by name but it's pretty obvious if you're familiar with the seminary.
Present Conditions (at time of master plan, a building has been added across from the Beran library since)
Short-medium term?
Long term or maximum buildout?
