  1. I think this may be the most ill-advised, poorly timed thread ever of HAIF. Is Plastic back from the dead to start this? Seriously Sage Rosenfels just cost the Texans a game in which they dominated a division opponent. Never in a sport as team orientated as football has one player cost his team so much so fast. He may have singlehandedly cost the Texans their season, at least as far as playoff aspirations. Of course Schaub is the starter, there was no competition, in case you missed it he spent saturday night in the hospital. He is coming off one of his best games as a Texan against a better defense than Indy in Jville. So people pull your heads out of the sand and come to a conclusion that doesn't soundlike it was conceived by watching sportscenter highlights instead of actually watching 60 minutes of real football. I have to believe the Vince Young suggestion was a joke. Good one too.
  2. I am interested in trying out the steak and sushi place, but I don't have any budjet this month for eating out, I hope it makes it if it is good. There are lots of rings places , has anyone been to the one in the Villagio development? report?
  3. We have underground lines at the rear of lots here in Cinco Ranch. I never lost power, but lots of homes did just down the road less than a mile. (they are in Cinco Ranch as well) Most newer construction Centerpoint is burying lines,, or should I say developers are at there own cost in some cases.
  4. I am glad to here that the place is being rebuilt this was I took my wife the night we were engaged. Prayers going out to the family injured.
  5. I'm less than 3 miles east in Cinco Ranch
  6. I was questioning this when it happened too, holy crap look at Hawkins now, and Randy Wolf!!!!!!!!!!
  7. Maybe someday reality we smack you in the face and you will realize that your opinion are not the majority, that your assumptions are not fact, you might realize that your ideas about what has happened the last 7 years are radical. You are clearing gripping here, I am not trying to judge you here, but if you could step outside of yourself and read what you just wrote you could maybe see that you are over the edge and slipping. You are clearly on the end of a spectrum, far from logic, if you could just see that then you might understand why you are on the losing side of reason.
  8. I loovve a good conspiracy. Bring it on! I am still waiting for that return trip to the moon, NASA !!!!
  9. What are we to believe Obama sat on his arse 20 years in Rev Wrights church, listening to that drivel for what? why? Because it was the place to be. Because he was trying to get into politics in the south side. I don't know the man's heart so I can't judge him in this matter. He has stated himself his family did not force religion on him, sent him to catholic and muslim school to get the best education? One of the tenants of christianity is to believe in the one true God. intolerance is not a dirty word.
  10. I apologize for that. Let's not pretend we are angels though. Just a case of straight from the mind to the keyboard.
  11. "I disagree with Obama's flip to allow for "limited" offshore drilling increases in areas where it was once banned. What does limited mean? Why did he change his views?" Because --oops--, have you even put gas in a car, are you aware of the fact that we are dependant on foriegn oil, are you aware that the majority of that oil comes from not too friendly places, and are you even cognisent of the fact that anything we do even if it takes years is positive to fix these problems! head explodes. hell, he is not even his brothers keeper.
  12. putting a beard and a dress on someone doesn't make a bigot. I may have to change my name on Haif so as not to be confused with Westguy. And if I hear "war for oil" one more time my head will explode, oops there it goes.
  13. No comments about the shakeup at MSNBC? Damb liberal bias. It's obviously worked on some of yall.
  14. About the Texans today, O-line was horrible, which made Scaub put up Carr like numbers. Flashes of 2005. Defense against the running games was awful too. I still am hoping for 9-10 wins. It's past time to draft a running back in the first round for God's sake. Bright note? The Colts are losing late in the night game and Jacksonville lost too. Bad news, Vince Young is hurt So the Titans might actually be better.
  15. No I don't want agreement, just more sensable logical answers. there are some here but try to defend the ones I just listed as ridiculous, go ahead.
  16. This is worse than I thought it would be, come on sheeple. Some of you really need to educate yourself. Because whatever blog you are reading or what your friends are telling you is not working. Your credit card rate is to high and it's the presidents fault. He mishandled hurricane response. Hello how about holding the mayor, govenor, fema director responsible? "I guess it started in florida".. I don't even know what this means but I can guess. Oh it was his fault the local gov. had problems with the punch cards and voting process, or it was his fault Al Gore couldn't conceed and held the country in an embarrissing halt taking the hanging chads to court? Got a few reasonable responses here (like I don't like his dog), keep them coming.
  17. his dog is cool!!! have you ever seen the video of him fishing with his dog on the boat? It's probably on youtube, going to look now.. couldn't find it, anyways it seems his dog has died. So you are all free up to change your mind on his legacy.
  18. I heard Obama try to quantify today his problem with the Bush administration today. He said something along the lines of 8 years of failed economic and foreign policy when going into his spill about change...four more years of the same...yadayada I personally think this is revisionist history. What do you think? What has been your problem with the Bush administration regarding the job he has done. I don't want to hear about your philosophical differances. We all have them. I want to hear about his supposed failed policies. Of our or your current state of affairs, what do you attribute as being the administrations fault? I'll say as a republican voter that I have been dissapointed with his weak stance on illegal immigration. However, I understand this is politics and things like this hot button issue will likely never change not in the abrupt sudden way I suppose there is too much at stake in this case.
  19. This is true. Heck I even know lots of people who do want more of the same. I am sure that just blows people's minds especially on this forum.
  20. Cheese is better for you than Meth. I thought Palin, Giuliani did well, Huckabee OK. I think Romney is a horrible speaker and not sincere and genuine in his words, Is that better?
  21. that is real weak. The fact is if you had listened to the speeches last night you would have answered all your questions, aside from your bias. I will not regurgitate all that. but quickly. Obama is running for president. questionable alliegances, spotty voting record, no real accomplishments. He has not led anyone, or dome much of anything while in the senate, no commitees, no sponsoring bills, and lots of PRESENT votes. Palin is now the VP nominee. has been mayor, govenor, has fought coruption in her own party, has pushed for drilling, etc. has done things, held executive office. John McCains record is there. It has not been attacked because it is uncomprimising. It is based in his principals, you may disagree with these. Fine vote and be counted. The things you think are "wrong" with Palin, what are they? Are they Idealological issues that you disagree with? Well these are not her faults. If you disagree with this ticket VOTE. (this post is my opinion based on things I believe to be true, these things may not be true, but they are to me. If you do not agree with me that is OK, I approve this message)
  22. Well I didn't really finish that thought but by the childish retorts on this thread, people are really exposing their fears and insecurities by expounding on their opinions as if they were laced in logic instead of the truth.
  23. I am used to seeing these site plans at my job. Ususally the developer has several footprints for these pad sites that they throw on to these plans early on. Often they are not representative of what will be the final product. Sometimes they will develop the property and the parking lots with the main tenants in place and grade out the pad sites to be built in the future so they can go pretty far along and not have that lease filled. So in short they could be a sonic or a jack in the box just as well as a bank branch.
  24. Wow, this GOP ticket really has the dems on their heels. They shot some nice holes into Obama last night and he is a big target and more will stick to him. And he just doesn't have the ammo to fire back. Which is fine I just assume this election gets down to the issues sooner than later. I just wanted to say to some of yall that just because you disagree with someone it doesn't make them a nut job. You should have learned that by the end of high school at least. Of course you can think whatever you want of them and you can tell us. I think Giuliani said this last night "Well, no one can look at John McCain and say that he is not ready to be commander in chief. So, our opponents want to reframe the debate. They would have you believe that this election is about change versus more of the same. But that's really a false choice. Because "change" is not a destination ... just as "hope" is not a strategy." I loved it so true.
