A bar is replacing what was last Brooklyn Athletic Club at 601 Richmond Ave, Houston Montrose.
The bar's name: Lotti Dotti

Thanks for the update! Where did you hear the news? I’m hoping this new business can put some pressure on the city to clean up the nearby homeless encampment on the 59 S on-ramp (which is less than 500 feet from this property).

Any updates on what the construction crews over at 601 Richmond are working on? Brooklyn Athletic club was the former occupant of this space, but they've been closed for nearly a year now, if not longer.
The latest update I heard was that Pi Pizza's Anthony Calleo was opening a new restaurant in the space, but that was last reported on back in July 2018 (source: http://houston.culturemap.com/news/restaurants-bars/07-19-18-whats-eric-eating-podcast-anthony-calleo-pi-pizza-new-montrose-restaurant/#slide=0).
Anyone know?
I also noticed that the two old brick houses directly adjacent to this space are on the market for a cool $1M each (source: and https://www.har.com/4316-jack-street/sale_33223330 and https://www.har.com/4320-jack-street/sale_27800941).

Completely forgot about this development, even though I work very close by . . . thanks for reminding me?
What do you think the best use for the space is?

Any updates on future development of this vacant lot? The owner of the lot also owns the adjacent lot at 905 Woodrow St, for a combined lot size of 35,547 sq ft.
I heard a rumor that it might be a boutique hotel, but not sure if there's any truth to that...
It looks like neither of these projects ever took off at the same location, so who knows.

Don't forget to show my upper floors to the people. They're well worth seeing.
What does that mean? What's on the upper floors?

Is it only Danton's that's leaving Chelsea Market? Or is the whole complex being demolished?
I wonder what it'll be? Would love to see a more modern retail concept in that space. Chelsea Market is definitely aged looking, and not in a good way.

Not sure if the sign is still up, but there's a large for information sign for a broker group from Feb. 2017 which is well after those plans for the office building were released.
Sign is no longer there.

Totally forgot about this spot! This could be quite the site for something cool. I wonder if it's still for sale. HCAD says no change of ownership since 07.
I haven't heard anything since this building which never got built.
It's a great location. Close to 59 and a 7-minute walk to the Glassell School of Art and less than a 15-minute walk to Menil Park in the other direction.

I live across Montrose, but I don't think it's that out of place.
Montrose Boulevard is continuing to densify, and there are already several large apartments within a few blocks. Plus the El Tiempo across the cross is going to get redeveloped at any moment.
The lot at Fairview/Montrose is a bit bigger I think, but it's being redeveloped too.Where were you thinking that would be more appropriate? I'm guessing you think more towards Allen Parkway?
How about the large empty lot at 4503 Montrose, just north of the 59 bridge? The lot is huge (26,000 sq ft) and isn't currently being utilized by anything other than the defunct African Art Center. If you combine it with the adjoining empty lot at 905 Woodrow, you get over 35,000 sq ft of space.
