GreenStreet: Mixed-Use Development At 1201 Fannin St.
Trae replied to MontroseNeighborhoodCafe's topic in Downtown
Friday and Saturday should have their own schedule. Like open an hour later or something. And lets get a good shoe store in there. A place that would sell the type of shoe in my signature . -

Has anyone seen those Jay Z tickets for the HOB? It's a second mortgage. -
Dorsey can play backup C. He has the size and length.

Artest is going to take a lot of the load off of McGrady and Yao this season, so we can rest those two up more. I have a feeling that Dorsey will have a Landry-type rookie season, and Landry will pick up from where he left off. We are VERY deep at the 4 position with Scola/Landry/Dorsey and Artest plays the 4 a lot as well. We have so many lineups that we can do this year, too. I can't wait.

Exactly. The east side of Downtown has changed a bunch since Minute Maid and TC. The Dynamo stadium will only help that. Not to mention the rail line right in front of it.

Hmm...that is a great idea now that I think about it. You can still have an IMAX and all that, and maybe some small rides I guess. Is there room in the Museum District?

So, Portland, Seattle, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, Boston, etc., all have trams, too? Those lines run in city streets with cars, too. You aren't presenting any facts at all. (and yeah, some of those lines in the other cities do go into subways, or elevated, but the majority of the lines run in city streets)

You're still in Houston down around NASA though.

Yeah, but NASA is in Bay Area Houston. Plenty of attractions near there (not too far from Galveston either...makes for a nice day trip for island tourists). Hobby Airport also isn't too far away. NASA has failed because they don't have any real worthy attractions. That space flight simulator at Epcot would have been great at Space Center Houston.

I'd rather keep the space stuff at NASA. Let them make that place more touristy (like Epcot).

It's not like it's going to hold 39 trains instantly. Plus, the Brown Line will be extended further east in the future. Good to have capacity already there.

Marq*E Entertainment Center At 7620 Katy Fwy.
Trae replied to DJ V Lawrence's topic in Katy and Points West
I tear rolled down my cheek as I was at the MarqE last week seeing Dark Knight. You can still see some of the store signs on the building (like Coldstone). I remember where Hot Topic, Pac Sun (I think it was a Pac Sun), and EB were, too. I'm telling you, the Vans closing hurt this place a lot more than you think. I remember all of the skater kids would migrate out of Vans and buy new stuff at Pac Sun and Hot Topic. -
Did you tell them it wasn't?
-
Driving both ways on 610, too. That is where my relatives from Louisiana and Georgia asked if it was Downtown.
-
Are you serious? Look at what I quoted.

They already do.
