  1. We definitely need more historical preservation like this.
  2. Finally! It's about time. That side of town is going to look so much better. Edit: Headline was changed. Here is a rendering floating around: Needs more color.
  3. Yeah, I read about this like at 8 AM this morning. Glad he's alright. Carl Landry fell for a classic move. Don't check your car damage at 4 AM. Wait until you get home.
  4. We need to sign Pedro now, but Drayton is a cheap ass.
  5. This is good. I remember this museum being super packed on my field trip days. I then remember eating my Lunchables on the lawn/pond/benches just outside the museum and feeding some to the birds. Good time, good times. Tim Duncan.
  6. Freebirds=God. Just in case you were wondering. Definitely good on the late night outing with some friends.
  7. But with Obama, it was different. He only wanted to show us how we were outnumbered, outgunned, outmatched, and seeming mad, we realized the importance of our monument. On that day, half a century ago, our species was pushed to the crumbling edge of extinction and as we teetered on that precipice, staring down at the abyss, a hand reached out, pulled us back from the brink and gave us hope... the hand of a hero.
  8. Cullen State University would have been great.
  9. Sales are slow everywhere and definitely in the suburbs. I wouldn't be surprised if Bridgeland sales have dipped quite a bit.
  10. They should have chosen Cullen State University. Don't know what was wrong with that name, or why they now have stupid names to choose from.
  11. Von Wafer>>TMAC. I loved how Artest got under Pierce's skin. It was great. Pierce waved "bye" when Artest fouled out, but then he lost.
  12. Edwards is most definitely not the only "mainstream" IMAX theater in Houston. You have one in Tomball, I believe AMC on I-45 and Beltway 8, plus, there are theaters around Houston that are adding in an IMAX theater (First Colony is one that I can think of).
  13. ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh Seriously, enough with your ughs. You need some happiness in your life.
  14. It sure would. They could do blast off a space ship, or something. Atlanta drops a peach and Dallas drops a ball similar to the one in NYC, only 100x smaller.
  15. Shouldn't the City of Houston plan annual New Years Eve celebrations at Discovery Green? I don't think Houston currently has an annual event, but Discovery Green would make for the perfect place to have one.
  16. They had enough room for rail on I-10W, but Culberson and friends blocked any chance at that, and instead a stupid ass tollway was built.
  17. They can try to fill them, because I'm sure some developer will build another (not needed) condo tower, mixed-use development, etc., right next to it.
