    galleria area is now uptown ... and i do think it is rivaling downtown with all the high rise buildings (apartments, condos, offices) going up. it is definitely going to be an epicenter in a few years as it has a lot to offer (galleria, uptown mall, etc.). as for the skyline downtown being lit up like 'dallas', those pictures we basically taken with a LONG exposure (look at the blur of the automobiles). it is an illusion (much like dallas itself). lol

    i think a singing cowboy in his underwear is ghetto OR trashy ... take your pic with words, but the sentiment is the same. awful.

    don't get me wrong. i think the entertainment is fine (country western, black heritage, and tejano performances), but it's like you hardly ever even hear about the other sides of the event. after all it is the houston livestock show and rodeo. oh well, i haven't really patronized it in years, so i guess i don't have much to complain about.

    does the livestock show make any news anymore? i really used to like that part more than the rodeo portion anyway. seems like they downplay the livestock portion now and go for the glitz and glamour.
