I would put Richmond from 59 to Shepherd right up there with Westheimer.

they've recently done patch work on the road and curb cut outs on Richmond between Montrose and Spur.   Seem like a waste if they plan to put in BRT.  There is sign in front of Post Oak apartments detailing the project but I was driving a missed the details

Bus service on all major roads improves connectivity (you can get from point A to point B ) - but even dialing the bus frequency all the way up, local busses are always going to be the same speed as taking surface streets places.  One thing that would be needed to support density inside the loop is limited and express service - you don't need to make 0 stops between downtown and the galleria, but make it 4.  Buses can do that, as can light rail.

Has Metro mentioned an express bus?  This would definitely be of interest to me to go to Galleria from Downtown or Wheeler station.

At the current park and ride lots, I would prefer garages - more cars = more transit users, there could be GFR (lol), and they might be able to integrate in as better transit centers

Right now, I think the only park and ride garage Metro runs is the new one at 99 and 10 in Katy

might as well add residential too

But why is it specifically Greyhound with this problem? I've never ridden it before... is the bus fare super cheap or something? This and the McDonalds (which now has an iron fence around the place) seem to be hot spots for the homeless, more so than other areas.

It's usually the first stop for people getting out of prison in Huntsville.

Using mass transit as a way to "get cars off the road" is always going to be a losing proposition and a poor justification for mass transit on a cost/benefit level, but it's still used to sell mass transit to the public anyway on the basis that most city dwellers vote on mass transit policies based on the idea that it's for a greater social good (in line with their political beliefs) that light rail is implemented and could reduce congestion, not that they'll actually use it. The end result is that miles of light rail could be built at taxpayer expense and it wouldn't make a significant (if any) dent in congestion, which is what is happening in the Los Angeles area.

So we should stop investing in mass transit?  What solutions would you propose?

This might be our last chance to make sure the bike lane on Austin/La Branch and Crawford happens. This project is a piece to a larger "spine" that connects multiple neighborhoods to universities, healthcare facilities, transit, and parks.

The first half of the meeting will be about the bike lane, the second half will be for the Super Neighborhood to discuss other matters.

6:30pm at Crime Stoppers on Thursday April 11.

If you are not able to attend the meeting please send your support for this connection by emailing your District and At-Large Council Person(s) telling them:
    1. Where you live
    2. Why this connection is important to you
    3. Thanks for prioritizing safety for vulnerable road users
