Town homes, I'm guessing. Too bad they couldn't get the whole block.

The best way to spur new development is with tax incentives and a good economy. Ha. What is the best way to ensure Houston has a viable long term economy?

would it be big enough for a top golf
Before Top Golf came about, I thought it would be cool to put a "resort" on the south eastern part of downtown with a driving range on the roof. It would have to span 3-4 blocks. The skyline views would be amazing!

I hear we are getting closer and closer to getting something in the Lovett site on Dowling. Possible a CVS and some sort of grocer. I'm hoping for Trader Joes.

TxDot is probably in the process of purchasing it since the freeway project is going to happen.

Sears exists more as a real estate holding company that happens to have a lot of empty Sears and Kmart stores occupying the real estate. I don't think they are really that interested in operating retail and much as unloading the real estate. At some point the Midtown location will be sold for some other use.
I don't think Sears owns that Midtown property, but I could be wrong.

Pending this project, 3300 Main, and the building proposed across from whole foods, the HCC building would effectively be dwarfed from all sides. That is simply incredible in my opinion. I'll be that old man before too long saying I was around before it was all built.
Perhaps the Van Loc lot project gets back on the docket with all this new development going up.

Prob to attract a grocery store??? The people on the East End reply on small meat market places, which imo opinion are great! A big box gorcery store will prob kill those businesses. I mean with an increase in population and foot traffic, it will only be a matter of time before other things happen.
Did Midtown have any high rises before Randall's? I think EaDo would be better suited for midrises.
