  1. Anybody here about the writer of the article commiting suicide today?
  2. Yes. Places like Old Navy, Oshman's, and dress barn reside there.
  3. The nerve of some people. Why in the hell do they want to know? That just tells you how much of a visitor's town this place really is.
  4. That ghastly looking thing. Yes you are talking about the Venetian style strip mall near the Woodlands.
  5. Like I said before, I give up on statements like this. Why can't more be like Orion. They went under construction out of nowhere. It almost seemed to quick, atleast to me.
  6. I was about to say the rendering looks a little outdated.
  7. I guess it is like how every rendering of a tower in Houston is surrounded by a forest. Kind of like Riva Place and Kirby Condos.
  8. Yeah I know, I was just kind of getting off subject. Sorry.
  9. I hate to be the one to say this, but citykid hit the nail on the head, when talking about the differences between Houston and Dallas as far as development goes. Houston has more action taking place in the suburbs rather than downtown and midtown. I cannot trust any type of proposal that happens in Houston until it turns into construction. It makes my stomach turn how anti progressive the city is when dealing with downtown.
  10. That is usually how it goes. There are tons of Macy's stores in the Bay Area in California, so a lot of the stores are not as high end as the one in the Galleria. I'm not saying that the one in the Galleria is high end, but it is on a higher lebel than the ones in the San Franciso area, except for the one in downtown SF. Same goes for Nordstrom in Seattle, the flagship store in downtown is nice, but it seems like the other ones are on a lower tier. The less stores you have in an area the more high end that one store will be in the city. Kind of like the Flagship Foley's in Houston at the Galleria compared to the rest of them. Now I'm getting off subject. lol.
  11. Kind of off subject, but easy Nordstrom Macy's Lord and Taylor Dillard's Foley's
  12. That sounds extremely nice. So pretty much a traffic circle with retaurants around it with a fountain in the middle. Damn, I want to move to Town Square once they lower the prices on some of their residences.
  13. Nice pics. I really like the urban design of the Post properties, but it would help if the facade of some of them weren't so bland.
  14. It is nice, bit it is kind of random.
  15. This is so old. This was taken into consideration before the person who designed the statue died.
  16. That has been there since the MLB All Star Game came to Houston. Maybe longer than that.
  17. My parents are from Puert Rico.
  18. Staples Center in LA held it last year and it ony has about 2000 more seats than the Toyota Center.
  19. In downtown Houston, more parking garages are needed to fill up the surface lots, especially the beneficial ones thay have street level retail like 1000 Main.
  20. I hope the 288 and BW8 happens. The area is kind of dead. What are those yellow townhomes that can be seen from the freeway, with single family homes behind it. It is kind of in the middle of nowhere.
  21. Thanks for the info, I will elaborate more in my post maybe tomorrow, but right now I am kind of tired. Virgin Megastore and Williams Sonoma? Oh my goodness. What is wrong with Houston. Stores that we are struggling to get in downtown, Virgin Megastore atleast, are possibly headed to the suburbs. Please don't make this onto another Dallas, where the suburbs are where it's at.
  22. I passed by Shadow Creek Ranch today because my friend bought a new house out there. Along McHard there are several signs that say new retail coming soon, new townhomes coming soon and etc. We are talking about really mixed in with the rest of the neighborhood. So tell me something. Does anybody know if this will be just regular strip malls and townhomes that you see around 518, or will it develop like the Woodlands and Sugar Land with new urbanism projects? I'm telling you, suburbs are getting more attractive these days such as the Woodlands and Sugar Land. I hate to be one of the people that takes away from the inner city population by moving to the suburbs, but it is getting really tempting.
  23. Priced from $125,000-$250,000 Dont get too happy with the price because all residences are 1 bedroom/ 1 bathroom Located at 2205 McKinney, near Lofts at the Ballpark.
