    When I rode past this yesterday, I was pretty confused too by how they had positioned it. Got the hell away as fast as I could!

    From what I understand of Europe, this is the way a lot of their cities work: rich interior, poor surroundings. For a long time, it's been the opposite in the US (much to the confusion of Euro tourists) but now that trend is of course changing.

    I can confirm that the house is completely down, and the lot is now ready for whatever comes next.

    From what I have been told, and I don't remember the technical terms, it's a hub for internet and phone service in that area. The similar building in downtown serves the same purpose.

    Rode by the other day. If it's some sort of old house that's being torn down for this, then we are all systems go. They are gutting the inside at the moment.

    Not very long, they seem to be making pretty good progress. All these damn public works projects and construction projects around Montrose are messing up my bike commutes!!

    Huh, so they are going to take off the top of the cistern? Or make it a ramped entrance to the underground chamber? Either way, It's an amazing space that we need to take advantage of!

    I wanna join the club! Midtown, Montrose, Museum District, and Rice Village is a big enough area for me on a slow day I'll leave DT to the people who live/work there!

    Spoke with someone who works with the person living next door to this project. Cracked foundation, shaking windows, only a matter of time until the neighborhood puts a legal postponement to this

    Yes they did. Dust all over the place, nearly choked on all of it on my bike!

    As of today, still work being done! Dunno what the building behind it is, but it's looking good too. This northern part of River Oaks probably doesn't have much longer to go as an exclusive single-family homes area...

    Taken earlier today, they have the three houses in question all fenced off. A guy was running into one of the residences, so they must not be completely closed?

    I live at Calais, there is nothing going on at the moment. Still a parking lot for the Med Center.

    It may be the rain and cloudy skies, but driving home earlier this evening I noticed those rendering colors look nothing like what it actually is. Will try and get photos tomorrow.

    According to the link, the front four buildings are part of "phase 3", which the current owner is trying to sell. The back two apartment buildings will be u/c starting this year.
