  1. He already said the building is 41 floors which means both renderings are from the previous version.
  2. It still looks like the older version before being scaled down. I don't think this rendering is accurate just like the first rendering.
  3. Barely noticed it connects with the south deck. That's a better idea than what I originally thought they would do. I wonder how the interior will look. I was always fond of the insides for Commerce Street and Shea Street buildings.
  4. The rendering looks much better than I was expecting. The cost is ridiculous but UHD has been ranking in some serious dough for a while now. Also is that the welcoming center to the right? I assumed they would put it on the eastern side since it would be connected to the deck and next to the main offices and elevators. Edit: I guess I should of read the article. It looks like they are moving some offices and adding some new features. I love the fact it will incorporate views of downtown!
  5. I think Morrison Heights will be more imposing despite only being five floors because of it's proximity to other houses. I would imagine people from Woodland Park Place are the most annoyed by the Morrison mid-rise.
  6. The lights at the base that also accentuates the inward fold. I don't know if it is supposed to be indicative of the final product or just added to enhance the rendering.
  7. I don't like the look of the apartment complex but I love the Hispanic community there. Very unfortunate for the residents but it was only a matter of time. I always wondered how long the complex was going to last during this boom.
  8. Awesome! It seems they are not going to touch Frank's Pizza and the old Cabo building. I was really worried that.
  9. They were putting in some work last night.
  10. "The One Main Faculty/Staff Garage soon will be demolished to make room for a new replacement garage, tenant space on top of that garage, and an adjoining Welcome Center. The tenant space will create a more unified one-stop student service experience on what will become an expanded 3rd floor. The Welcome Center will provide an open, inviting point-of-entry for prospective students and visitors coming to UHD." http://skyline.uhd.edu/2013/06/27/garage-demolition-replacement-facultystaff-parking/
  11. I was curious too but forgot to ask; glad you brought it up.
  12. I think the precariousness of it is going to be dependent on the angle. The angle in the second rendering is not very flattering if you're looking for something dramatic.
  13. Doubt it. Prob around 280-290. If someone actually knows then please correct me.
  14. Yeah sorry, was referring to residential/retail/office. My original post was completely different but I edited it in haste because I misread the post I quoted.
  15. Personally I think it works. Houston's downtown consists a mix of claddings anyway but it will blend in nicely with Group Place and Hines' new tower.
  16. The building is the same; the time of day changed though.
  17. Srsly? I can't spell bc I use acronyms? Just swallow your pride.
  18. You lost so get over it and quit embarrassing yourself any further.
