  1. That house is not in 5th Ward.
  2. They are. Many companies are contracted by a developer and the office space is needed. They probably do onsite orientation too for new workers who need to be badged.
  3. If the demand was there then they would be taller. Houston is densifying but the growth is still spread out through numerous neighborhoods.
  4. I think this is more than sufficient for its intended purposes. The only area without grass is towards the end of the bridge.
  5. The whole area under the bridge is pretty overgrown when not maintained. Towards the end of the bridge is the only section that prob does not have much grass. I don't know what the other poster is taking about.
  6. I don't even feel comfortable walking over the bridge on Studewood. It's too narrow. You have to walk in a single file line if you're with others. I am not even convinced it's meant to be walked on but I guess it's a Houston thing.
  7. I think this building will age nicely even though it doesn't match the charm of the original.
  8. They know the signs are not there anymore. That's what the conversation was about but cool pic nevertheless.
  9. Dairy Land was bought out a few years ago and the new owners had plans to open a new restaurant. They decided to stick with Dairy Land but are constructing a new building. The old building will be demolished.
  10. Settling for paintball, which I love, is just selling the place short. A place that aesthetically appealing deserves more respect than that.
  11. Go blind? Now that's a hyperbole... I wouldn't mind if this building was planned for another location but it will stick out like a sore thumb for me in that neighborhood.
  12. That's subjective. For me it's going to be an eyesore and will def not go unnoticed.
  13. That's going to be an eyesore. Hopefully it will look better than the renderings.
  14. I couldn't take many pics inside because my main boss was there and the staff for Jennie Sealy do not appreciate workers on their cell phones. We were given warnings during orientation. Unfortunately I won't be able to contribute any more pics because I am back in Houston.
  15. I'll start posting pics soon including the interior construction. I just started working there today.
  16. I don't have a problem with this building being demolished. It's main architectural feature was removed a long time ago and I could only imagine how much it would cost to renovate a building that was vacant for so long.
