  1. Arlington got pissed when they printed jerseys West Coast Champions with Downtown Dallas on them. They immediate made new shirts.  Houston built Minute Made Park with a view of Downtown.  Toyota Center, BBVA, and Discovery Green park.  Something is very wrong with Downtown Dallas.

  2. Very exciting news.  The new Terminal C will have great food from chiefs from Houston.  You can order with 800 IPads at their restaurants, or at the gate.  Saw it on Culture map Houston new terminal will open next year.  It will also have 2 United Clubs.

^^^ excuse me, dude... I BEG YOUR PARDON!  just who in the hell are you to just drop into a conversation between HAIF members with this form of unacceptable RUDENESS?  i mean really... just who the hell are you??  dubai, uae, just so happens to be one of the most fabulous cities on this planet of ours.  yes, of course it is hot... but then again, what shall one expect of a desert gulf region directly within the middle east.  but then again, this is really not the point right..... your abstract rudeness is!  should you harbor a problem, then i can honestly assure you that you have found the right person to help you solve it.....

I'm sorry did not mean to be rude.  You are the one using profanity.  Dubai has nothing to do with ROD.  Start a new subject.

Does living real close count?

It's amazing how much downtown has changed. I eat dinner in downtown every week now, something unheard of even a few years ago. There's just so much to do in downtown right now. By far my favorite joint is the Conservatory. There's also a cool new place that's opened up a few months back on the side of a tower that projects a giant screen onto the next tower... think it's called Live Sports Bar & Grill? Haven't gone there but it looks cool. The only place I kinda worry about is La Fisheria. Almost always looks dead during the critical lunch time crowd.

I like Conservatory also. Ask for Lisa a bartender, she will take care of you. Fun place!

Just put a deposit down to move here when it opens. Schedule date of move-ins is October 1, so there's quite a bit more to be done on the site. At the moment, I can't even get a tour because the only working elevators are those on the outer sides of the buildings.

I'm pretty stoked though. The full list of amenities is mind boggling to me as someone who has never lived in a high-rise. They're only leasing to early invitees at the moment, but if anyone is interested let me know, and I'll give a referral.

Also, I have a few pics of the model unit and some shots the manager took of inside the unit (very unfinished). Not sure whether that's relevant here as I'm new, but I'm happy to post as well.

Can't wait to have a pool party!

  6. They pouring the next floor now.  It is at 41, 7 more to go but the crown will be beautiful.  I can see the concrete trucks.  Hines wants LEED Platinum.  Very excited!

  7. Star Alliance airlines have better connections in IAH.  To travel to Latin America and South America and the Olympic games coming soon.  Or also New Orleans, Florida is better.  Also United will give you 2 day stopover free if booked on united.com.  ET may be the next airline to fly from IAH since they have the 787.

My problem with this development has always been the location.  If it was in downtown, or on that light rail line (as in the train passed in front of the building and you stare down at the station from your loft) then I would already have a deposit down.  As is, I find it hard to justify buying the small space where I'd still have to walk 1/2 a mile to the train or drive to places.  It is the most affordable places for sale in downtown, but still - this would have been perfect where the Days Inn is, or even across the street from the new high school.  I hope that this is just the first of a few of these developments, and one will go in downtown, and the med center.

The developer most likely got a reasonable price for the property.  You cannot walk 1/2 a mile?  Get a bike.
