  1. Just checked RUEHL's website. They do not list a Houston location (or even one coming soon). But they do list stores at the Galleria in Dallas and also at The Domain.

trust me it will be store #119 and will open earlier next year. from my understanding it will most likely be where Eddie Bauer used to be, next to BCBG.

De Beers - opened nice store looks like a club

Versace - closed, might be renovating

Marc Ecko - will open where Duo used to be

i have some more info on stores opening & CLOSING but dont want to say anything yet.

  2. the storefront will change but naturally there are some places where the existing stone has to remain. the windows will def. go out for the new design. i'm not much of a fan of the ext. desgin, but once it's built it may look better in person than in rendering. the interior will be pimp.

I burly saw the outside sorta entrance of Barneys Co Op I think that ghetto store Gregorys has one too. it will be pure Sex if most of the level 1 stores had outside entrances

thats kewl ... does anyone know whats gonna be next to Borders ... I heard it might be an H&M. I belive that spot infront of Dior will be De Beers. the new Guess store caters to chicks mostly .. bummer

Forth & Towne and Fila closed alredy and not to mention that spa next to Saks Fifth in Galleria 3

  3. here is a map for clarity along with some pics. and due to space layout the seating area will be facing north.

please excuse the orientation of the map.

aslong as they do something to the outside I really like what they did at Kona & Borders if only they would do that to the whole mall, & Galleria 3 is crap they should renovate it from top to bottom other than Fox Sports & Bice those stores suck Macys looks like a department store at sharpstown its really a wast of space

  4. Ohh ... alot of empty spots from Neiman Marcus to Saks Fifth .. the Dog store is by the water fountain now ... grr ....

Fendi is in the 3rd floor now by Abercrombie & Fitch ( currently remodeling)

Victoria's Secret is expanding (that poster looks hot Gisele!!! )

    Forth & Towne is closing

Johnston & Murphy is by Borders

old Johnston & Murphy will be ... ???

    Guess is remodeling

Apple just opened a remodeled store

Juicy Couture will be next to Louis Vuitton (very funny poster)

Bottega Veneta will open next to Tiffany & Co.

    Pacsun remodeling

    Hot Topic remodeling

old Dog store will be ... ??

True Religion is almost done I had a sneek peak

    Tous is opening

    New expanded Foot Looker

Fila store had nothing inside might be closing ???

alot of empty spots !!! specialy in Galleria 3

that part of the mall stinks (literally) even the Macys looks like crap

by early 2008 will have alot of new stores

  5. the few ppl that i know that live in the montebello don't mind the galleria, although they do favor uptown park 1&2. the reason they don't shop at the galleria is because they are wealthy enough to get the real stuff during their "travels" through France, Germany, etc and just buy the stuff there or have it shipped. it's crazy what they'll have shipped to their house.

I have never been to Uptown Park, The Galleria is the only mall in the city that I shop at. it looks nice, but none of theyre stores appeal to me, I really dought people who live there never shop at the Galleria

  6. Not every one wears Abercrombie & Fitch. I get some clothes from places like that, but most are like champs. Instead of Champs put a Finish Line and an Urban Outfitters I am sure Houston wants more that one Demographic shopping at HP. I second the House of Hoops by Foot Locker!

well everyone should ... , and not everyone wears stuff from champs sports.. i am happy though of that Journeys .. yay !! footlocker sucks btw

  7. the ones from middle mexico areas tend to like good high priced shopping. it always amazes me the numbers that are at the galleria.

Your right everytyime im at The Galleria i hear people at Louis Vuitton, Gucci , specially at Abercrombie & Fitch speaking spanish. i asked one lady one time at Abercrombie & Fitch if she was from Mexico she said she was , so i asked her why they travel so far to shop she simply reply because most stores in The Galleria are found in Mexico but here in Houston is different, safety wise.

  8. Well Lucky Strike will be awesome as long as the mgmt has a good maint. policy unlike Jillians (and the whole marquee for that matter).

I wouldn't be expecting ANY Gap Inc stores to be announced considering Gap has started closing houston stores due to poor sales (Highland Village, West Oaks Mall etc,.) and with their latest concept Forth & Towne getting the axe. Limited Inc stores are a possibility but that's nothing too exciting. A&F Inc stores are doubtful also. They've stopped building A&F, started converting abercrombie kids to Hollisters, building a Ruehl in the Galleria and have a new brand, Gilly Hicks that gets debuted next year. H&M would be awesome and it may be lip service but I contacted them about a Houston location and they said they were presently "looking for the perfect Houston location for Texas' 1st Store"... so maybe??

im soo happy that Forth & Towne is done ahahaha .... i see that space being a new kikass store (original penguin/ juicy couture) A&F Co. is building a store in Deerbrook, it will be pure sex if they build a Flagship in Houston Pavillions the one in NewYork is Craziee ! .. i think H&M is gonna land 1st in the Galleria before H.P.

  9. Exactly....that's why the floors don't line up.

What's going on infront of Neiman Marcus by where Chanel and Tiffany & Co. are ?? Last time I went there was a wall in the middle of the walkway with arrows pointing to Neiman Marcus.

And what's going on by the new expansion a huge chunk of the floor was inside anothere wall (near Bally and Valleriano) ?

Please don't tell me that's going to be "the soft childrens play area" that was mention when that expansion was anounced. It won't be a good fit they're aren't any kid stores near there except for Dylands but that's in the second floor and Disney isn't that close either.
