  1. In Austin, butts on the ground outside of bars is now a huge problem. Come on people. Don't mess with Texas.
  2. I love to be quoted. My risks are along the line of jumping out of planes, not slowly killing others around me with my bad habits. Authority should be challenged and subverted if it is hurting people (not businesses). Please use quotation marks and 'kingkirbythegreatoftexas says/said' in the future.
  3. I went to the one near Shepard around labor day weekend. It was just not good. The serve sucked. The girl making my burritto acted like she was doing me a favorite. You'd have thought I'd asked for her kidney. There also wasn't enough choice in my burrito innards. Only two kinds of torillas, no refried beans, only one cheese, bad salsa, only two meats, only a couple vegetables, and piss poor service. I really wanted it to be different, but sadly it wasn't.
  4. Grids move traffic better. Just ask ems and the police and fire departments which they like better.
  5. The North Stars should've become the Lone Stars. Houston Hurricanes sounds nice.
  6. What's 'BC bud'? Is that like 'killer bud'? Anything is great after that.
  7. "White Boy Burrito Boutiques", as it was so charmingly put, have the best burritos.
  8. Is Culberson's stance really any surprise to anyone?
  9. What up Knitta? Knitta is actually, to the best of my knowledge, the originator of the knit graffiti movement. Copy-cat groups are springing up all over the world. SNL even had a news segment on Knitta about six or eight weeks ago. And it's not just women in Knitta.

    The Spring

that's not Spring or 360, it's a building in Vancouver by the same architect and/or developer, Spring is supposed to be very similar though
  11. Yall are all ____ed up. Have fun with it.
  12. When I did watch morning shows, I watched the Today Show. I liked Katie, but I always thought Matt was a total dick.
  13. I was responding to MidtownCoog and Jeebus. They (tv news personalities) are all just talking heads. I don't watch any news on television, let alone the network evening news, because I get all on my news on the internet. I just think she shouldn't be judged before she has had a chance to show what she can do. Who among us likes to be judged and told we're no good at something before we've even done it? Dollars to donuts, no one does.
  14. Why would you want to ban smoking when it's so glamorous?!
  15. Speaking of the Galleria. Has Simon ever said anything about the rail line? Do they have a position? If Simon was to lobby for the line to have stop(s) near, in, or under the Galleria, I'm sure that would go a long way to keeping the line from being to far south. It would seem that a stop(s) near, in, or under the Galleria would be something they would want. A few years of construction means nothing when you think about the benefits that will be reaped for years after. Why not go down Richmond, and then begin to tunnel at the HISD site to the Galleria. That way Afton Oaks has no arguement about unsightly bridges and the line can get people where they want and need to go. I feel for the businesses along Richmond, but I'm calling bullshit on their arguements about the trees and construction. I know that if the city were to say that they were going to widen the street instead and the trees would still have to go...well, those same ones trying to 'save the trees' would be chopping them drop and induring years of road construction because it's good for the city as a whole.
