It seemed like party scene was headed to Washington but has come back to midtown, because there are so many places within walkable distance.

How's that? The midtown crowd is into partying a lot more than downtown. Seems like two separate groups to me.

After 230 the tunnels are somewhat useless. And they both close at 6 pm. So I'm not sure what the benefit would be for a residential property.

As subdude said before when the pierce elevated was being reconstructed the traffic was not any worse. People showed the ability to adapt to the situation.

I think the biggest issue right now is that Fort Worth is angling for a station at DFW airport while the expectation is that the station will be in south Dallas.

Another point I haven't seen mentioned here is that if pierce was taken down the values of the property that is under the bridge would be high, as the barrier between midtown and downtown would no longer be there. This could have a residual effect.

I'm not nucklehead. I don't even know who that was. This is my only user name at this site. I like Houston, in fact I choose to live here. It is making some great improvements for sure. All I advocate for is some more, particularly transit wise, to make it a great city. Whether they will happen or not, we will see. But I have the right to hope. Your insulting posts are not good for the quality of the board.

I went to the meeting at Hobby Marriott about Southwest wanting international service. United's arguments were hilarious.
