  1. Race

Remember that lawsuit against Spy a few years back by a group of Asians? It really went nowhere. It was kinda funny seeing a girl who i used to hang out with sitting at the press conference with that group...lol

Happens all the time. Me and a friend have been denied access to certain clubs in midtown because we did not have any females in our group. Or "No guys allowed in right now, only girls..." You can hear that phrase every night all night at clubs. Isn't that discrimination based on race?

We had a friend in our group with us once of a certain race that was denied entry because his shoes "Were not the right style for the club." Another guy in the same group had tennis shoes on. He had nice leather shoes just like everyone else. When he asked what was the right style, the bouncer just said "Not your style."

Happens ALL the time... And no one will stop it either. What ya gonna do send Wayn Dolcefino?

You guys think it is bad here. You should see how it is in LA. Sometimes you can't get in without a decent smile. Sometimes the same person will be denied in one night, but allowed in the club another night by the same bouncer who denied him the other night...really!

  2. Before you set up any business entity, you might consider studying the new Texas tax rules, or consulting an accountant. A sole proprietorship would not owe taxes, but most other forms would. Depending on what type of business you have, the protections of an LLC may not be as important as saving money on taxes. You can buy insurance to protect against lawsuits.

Hmmm..interesting. The reason i was thinking about going with LLC vs. Sole proprietorship was that i might be sued or something in the future. Initially, i had thought about Sole proprietorship. I will give your reply a thought.

  3. I am wanting to start a biz as LLC(Limited Liability Corporation). I want the LLC to include several online sites. Basically, i want several dot.com(s) under this LLC. Is this ok or do i need to create different LLCs for them? I've noticed some websites are under an LLC, which is their parent company. Also, how much is it to form an LLC? How long would it take before it gets done and i should be able to go to the local courthouse to do it right? Hiring a lawyer can get expensive, thus trying to do this myself. Thanks.

  4. Trainer adds lawyer for Clemens doping fight: report

NEW YORK (AFP) - Trainer Brian McNamee is adding a prominent New York attorney to his legal team as he tries to fight claims by Major League Baseball pitcher Roger Clemens that McNamee lied when naming the ace a dope cheat. The New York Times reported Saturday that Richard Emery, who in October won a major settlement in a case regarding inmates being strip-searched, is set to assist McNamee's legal team in defending McNamee in allegations by Clemens.

McNamee, who worked with New York Yankees pitchers Clemens and Andy Petitte for years, revealed in the Mitchell Report on doping in baseball earlier this month that both pitchers had used performance-enhancing drugs.

Clemens, 45, has denied using such drugs and assembled a legal team that will try to challenge the credibility of

McNamee's revelations to the panel that conducted a 20-month probe into baseball doping. "If Roger Clemens continues to play fast and loose with the truth and he continues to call Brian McNamee a liar then we will proceed with a defamation suit," Emery told the Times.

"It is one of the only avenues Brian has to defend himself against the claims that he lied."

More than 80 players were named in the report as having links to doping, including Clemens, whom McNamee said he injected with steroids numerous times in 2000 and 2001 as well as 1998 when he played for Toronto.

Clemens is expected to answer questions about the case for the first time on January 7, one day after the airing of a television interview he gave on the topic.

US lawmakers have scheduled hearings on January 15 and 23 with major league commissioner Bud Selig, union boss Don Fehr and former US Senator George Mitchell about the findings.

  5. Do you think that would make her any less dead?

The guy with the gun was there to show it off?

"Hey, Bhutto! Look at my new gun! Aw man! she fell! Time to go!" <Boom>

What are your conspiracy theories? Funny, but I don't recall seeing anyone wearing bushes ready to whack her with a steel baton.

The people(Al Qaeda) who are accused by the Musarraf government behind the assasination denies it. Her aides don't believe they were behind it and actually blame the current government. In that part of the world, you can't rule out any party. Apparently, the suicide blast after he shot at the suv caused her head to make impact with the sunroof. Either way, she died.

  6. Not really. He sells $50 watches with $1000 price tags and discounts them to $150. That is the majority of his business. Most of his sales are on lay away as well. I was in his store XMAS eve and he was there and had a security guard escort him out. I thought to myself..."he is a little self important, isn't he". I do know that the Bently Continental parked near the back entrance to the mall is his.

I actually consdered buying a watch on XMAS eve when they were 75% off and there was one I actually liked the looks of. I figured if it was cheap enough, it would be worth the novelty alone. Then I found out it wasn't even automatic. Battery watches with a $1000+ price tag and only gold "plating" (rose in this case). WTF is he thinking? Had it been automatic, I'd have bought it (on sale for $165).

That is Johnny Dang. Jewelers to the Hip-Hop stars!! Snoop, Ice Cube, Ice-T, etc have purchased from him.

  7. Malware installed itself about two weeks ago and I cannot get rid of it. It's driving me crazy.

I ran Ad-Aware, CCleaner and tried three different ways to manually remove it. Besides a complete system restore, what are other options?

Once your system gets infected, you will have to format your machine and reinstall the OS. From my experience, using 3rd party software, going to the registry, etc. will not help in the long run. You will see weird things happen later onas it will just be dormant for the time being. Refresh your OS and start over!! Make sure you back up your files first. No way around it!

  8. To quote Chris Rock: "There are malls that white people go to, and malls white people use to go to".

That is the reason why business is slow there. I used to go there in the late 80s and early 90s. It has become ghettoish now. Channel 11 mentioned it closing in their 6pm broadcast tonight. I still stop by there once so often when a big sale is on. You hardly see white folks there anymore, especially during the evening hours. You definitely don't want to stay too long in the Macy's parking lot after 7pm. Once you leave the store..you better hurry and find your parked car, get in and take off!

  9. It's a party in SA. The Katy Tigers destroyed Pflugerville 28-7. Bo ad a crazy ass pass to end the half. Tossed it into the endzone, Joey (Fuda) then tipped it back into Brian's hands. That tied it 7-7 and Katy never looked back.

Yeah, a nice lucky play, but they were the better team, so props to them.

  10. Pettitte coming clean certainly helps the credibility of the document and hurts the credibility of the players denying it. Hats off to Pettitte for being honest, even if it was forced.

Here's an interesting graph that ran in The Times a few days ago.

    RogerBarrygraph.jpg

Looks like the only thing Roger gained was an extended carrer (possibly).

His ERA was above his average for most of his alleged steroid years.

So as a result of his extended career, he got more $$$$. I guess that is the bottom line for these players.

  11. I have an EZ-Tag for my vehicle. If i want to get another one for my younger sister and have it charged to my account, will i have to make another deposit or can i just have it deducted from my current account. I don't think it makes sense for them to charge my credit card another $40 but not sure how that would work.

  12. Not really. Andy did not say anything about Clemens. And, to be fair, Andy did not corroborate any of the allegations against Clemens. BUT, Rusty Hardin has suggested that nothing that this trainer said has been corroborated, and that he should not be believed just because he is a shady character. Well, now some of what he said HAS been corroborated, and by Clemens' friend and training partner. So, logic is not on Clemens' side, because logic suggests that the allegations are true.

Another tactic by Hardin is that McNamee (the trainer) was threatened with federal prosecution, so his statements are not credible...in other words, suggesting that McNamee lied to keep from getting indicted. Well, we know he told the truth about Pettite. Does it make any sense that he would then LIE about Clemens...especially, since the deal was to tell the TRUTH or go to jail?

Since there will be no prosecutions, the only court is the court of public opinion. My court of opinion says Clemens juiced. Your mileage may vary.

Roger needs to come clean. If he keeps denying it, there will be more stories that could make it even more shameful. Just come clean since this country is so forgiving. Come clean and move on! I remember back when Ken Caminiti was still alive. He said over 60% of MLB are using steroids, but everyone blew him off. I guess not anymore.

Oh BTW,..Jose Canseco has some 'stuff' on Alex Rodriguez also. He will put it in his next book. I heard that he will also add a list that the Mitchell report DID NOT include.
