KimberlySayWhat Posted October 17, 2006 Share Posted October 17, 2006 I had never watched "The Bachelor", but I had heard about Erica Rose being a contestant and decided to check it out. For those who don't know Erica is the daughter of Houston plastic surgeon Dr. Franklin Rose and socialite/philanthropist Cindi Rose (there are a couple of posts about this in the Houston socialite thread in the "Other Houston" sub-forum). So I watched for the first time two weeks ago. I can't believe Erica is for real. She's like a caricature of an SNL sketch of Paris Hilton on steriods and she does this awful fake, dry-eyed crying. She's actually really comical. She and the Galvestonion were kicked off last night, but apparantely Erica is being brought back in next week's episode to keep things interesting because she is the only entertaining thing about the show. She's garnered quite a bit media attention, especially from Kelly Ripa. I'll watch again next week for her return and then quit. She said she is on a reality TV show. I told her that really isn't a profession, but what show are you on... The Swan (sarcastically of course)? She looked at me and said no, The Bachelor. Oh boy...apparently I was talking to Erica, and she seemed suprised I didn't know who she was. She still didn't tell me what she does for a living, so I assume she does nothing. My friend told me her job description on The Bachelor is "the socialite". I never watch this show, but I really hope that guy doesn't pick Erica. She wasn't nearly as good looking as she thought she was and didn't have much of a personality - her friends were cuter too. Besides, I still don't know if she has a job?After watching the show for the 1st time and reading the paper, I know why she doesn't do anything...her parents are very well off.
