Montrose1100
Blk 265 was to be the Bank of the Southwest. Nope! That is a picture of the winning design out of many others for the Bank of the South West Tower. Block 265 is somewhere else. It is easy to tell which ones are BSWT, because they are always rendered on the current surface lot behind 1 Shell Plaza. edit: * Block 265 had only one render I believe, which had a blue glass facade. There are some pictures on here that JMancuso posted in one of his "Unbuilt Houston" threads, in the "Historic Houston" subforum. CALMSP
where is the Emerald Plaza proposed?? Would be a great addition to our skyline!!!
strickn
where is the Emerald Plaza proposed?? Would be a great addition to our skyline!!!Please look before you ask, CALMSP. The author of the Emerald Plaza diagram, "Vaidas", assigned it the same status (fantasy) as a bunch of other glass curvy-or-crystalline-archetype supertalls that include "Vaidas Tower"
editor
Yeah, there's a lot of made-up stuff on SkyscraperPage. It's one of the reasons I don't go there anymore. That, and the people there are so negative about Houston.
