bachanon Posted June 5, 2006 Share Posted June 5, 2006 Wine Week offers more events and wine By CHEVALIER MAYES, Villager staff05/31/2006Whether it's a $15 bottle of wine meant to wash down a frozen dinner, or a $100 bottle of wine to be sipped over steak and lobster, Clifton and Constance McDerby, the creators of Wine Week in The Woodlands, have made the event into something meant for all to enjoy. "The purpose, as far as the attendees go, is to have an event for everybody," Clifton McDerby said. "A lot of wine events are intimidating, but we want to make it approachable for anyone wanting to give it a try or wanting to broaden their wine experience. We will have attractions that will interest experienced wine drinkers."In only a year's time, Wine Week has made a huge splash in The Woodlands, across Texas and in the U.S. The format of Wine Week involves a large number of wine-related events spread out over a period of about a week.
