Highrise Tower Posted January 22 Share Posted January 22 The Houston City Street Railway Company was founded in 1870. I believe it was the city transit company in Houston. Here's a few photos I found of the old rail cars. Edit; in 1886: Houston City Street Railway Co., Office 90 Travis bt Prairie, Texas ave. The rail car and mule transit depot. The Fannin, Travis & Main Street car was number 37. Cars numbered 30 and 6 in front of the Rice Hotel. Looks like the official railroad company abbreviation was "H.C. ST. RY.
