JBTX
After years of not being used, the Boys and Girls Club at 2411 Canal is for sale. Saw the sign go up today. https://www.loopnet.com/Listing/2411-Canal-St-Houston-TX/30005003/ I couldn't find another thread for this, so started a new one. Feel free to merge into an existing thread of it exists.

JBTX
Deal is at the finishing line. Will respect both sides request to keep it on the DL, but it's wrapping up. Buyer has been coy about intended use of the land, but given what I know, it's likely townhomes.
wilcal
Better than basically unused land!

JBTX
Officially official. The boys and girls club has been sold to a townhome developer: https://www.bbzdevelopment.com/home
EaDolivin
https://www.bbzdevelopment.com/2411-canal It seems like the majority of their work is townhomes. They even have a page set up for this property. However all it says is "2411 Canal St is a 10,000 SF structure consisting of 7,500 SF of a basketball gym. The building sits on just about an acre which allows a parking lot which can fit up to 80 vehicles." Could that indicate that they plan on a reuse/redevelopment instead of a bunch of townhomes? Could be a great indoor/outdoor space for a couple restaurants/bars
JBTX
Yes. I spoke with them about it and they indicated that they would prefer to go the commercial route, but haven't decided what specifically.
JBTX
Looks like the new owners did decide to go the commercial route, but to keep the building. The site is for lease. https://www.colliers.com/en/properties/for-lease-i-10000-sf-on-094-acres-in-eado/usa-2411-canal-st-houston-tx-77003-usa/usa1137046
